Win this Deity endgame

And thus in the first hour of the war Korea lost scores of units. Unfortunately, Hyangsan already had shelters and extra nukes were wasted to annahilate the army there. Nonetheless, Seoul and two or three other Korean cities were devastated.

Mao (who was vassalized by Wang), Cathy and Sala DoWed me as all good vassals should. Cathy even sent a token force of mech infs to invade me (the girl is advanced!). Wang managed to send substantial number of units to the front, but they were killed one way or another, while a second round of nukewhipping took care of his remaining cities.

A few turns later Cathy renounced the vassalage, but was so pissed with me I was forced to bribe Genghis to attack her (now Genghis is friendly). Apparently, we have to cripple her before she completes the spaceship.

Advance in Korean territory is slow, the nuclear fallout limits most of my units to single moves. On the contrary, the railroads were not damaged by the nukes, and now "it's raining artillery" in Korea. In spite of the constant barrage, two Korean cities have already been razed and more are to come.

No enemy nukes have hit my territory as of yet. Besides, shelters offer OK defense and my workers have Ecology. The largest damage so far in the war was a massive Korean naval incursion which destroyed one of my-not-so-important cities. The war has lasted only five turns so far, but the damage done is incredible:

Will I win? It's too early to say...

 Reminiscent of Eisenhower's policy on nukes.

Great use of an unconventional weapon :goodjob:

That power drop is sheer insanity! I've never, ever seen anything like it! If I ever find myself in a similiar situation, I'll have to remember that nukes can solve a lot of power graph problems:nuke:

form my deity experience production is the key. Press F9, where you can see Wang Kon's enormous advantage in production and military. This game is not to be won easily by domination. To defend from him you should not have military weeker more than 2 times. Production is also very scaring. Start improving terrain immediately to workshops and watermills. Enemy's tanks are not trouble. I would be more concerned about enemy's gunships. Industrialism is a good decision by far. And do not expect you win this war at the first attempt. First war at the later game will only weaken Wang Kon. 10 turns of peace and finish him. However there are to many cons. 1:4 in production is terrible advantage on this level. I wonder the reasons he did not attacked you till now. And do not be very scared of the threat of Space Race. Wait till he starts producing Engine and plant in that city 4 spies and sabotage production.

Good luck.

P.S. And do not rely on Infantry. It's a crap. It helps only to defend your own cities. Marine is huge step from the Infantry. It can stand against gunship and when on hills against tanks. If I were you I would wait till modern age then focused on production. And try to collect GP's to trigger golden age or better two.
P.P.S. And sorry for that mess. I did not noticed you had made a decision. Nukes are unknown to me in Civ4, but still good luck.

 glad i checked this thread. that's some great stuff. nice to see someone using nukes. they don't get enough play in these forums imo

Welcome, Giaur. Feel free to try the save.

As you've probably noticed, irrigations+whipping is the best way to start a nuclear war, probably the only way to get enough nukes before the AIs complete too many bomb shelters (on deity, at least).

Wang is a nice guy. He won't be bribed into attacking on pleased or better, and probably won't personally decide to attack on friendly (we were frendly most of the time) and maybe pleased (the rest of the game prior to the war).

My Infantry did well. Especially ambush promoted ones, they are good in killing AI tanks in the open. I don't really expect to wipe Wang in one war. Anyway, I'm only 5 turns into this one. I hope I will have the time to finish the domination attempt soon.

Also, lilnev made it to space race victory. I am certain I can achieve the feat too.

I am playing your save with pleasure. However he had modern armors and soon will have mech infantry. I do not have even gunships yet. It is 1800AD. My army counts 2,1mln soldiers while his about 7,6 now. In 6 turns I will have gunships, then I will declare war, or provoke war. 1:3 is not terrible advantage, I think. He has fleet, I do not. Production rose to 700, while his is still 800. Unfortunately I had to adopt Herelditary Rule sometimes, just to trade with Catherine. I am not gonna even go outside my borders this war.

And Mao is moran (I don't know the spelling of this word :p ). Wang Kon too. Saladin as I remember well is moran too. With Mao and Sal we've been for a long time

P.S. I'm afraid of using nukes cause they work like artillery
