sorry about tha laungauge peeps, but winamp is pssing me off. can people suggest altenatives?

i have tried WMP, Sonique and soritong.

or try fixing winamp.
i have uninstalled - reinstalled
got the latest update

You could try MusicMatch. It converts,
plays, and looks kewl. It also has a firm
user base, meaning there is some support out
there for it if you need it. The down side
is that the limited version, which you can
dl for free, is exactly that -> "limited"

Use a version of WinAmp that is lower that 2.7. I use 2.666 and I have no trouble but I had tonnes of trouble with 2.71 and then 2.72. You can go to www.winampheaven.com to get an older version.

Try PCDJ. It's a little too corporate and they send you all sorts of syupid s*** in the email. But on the whole its a pretty good music/video player.

I prefer Windows Media Player 7 myself, but that's just me.

Winamp works fine for me, maybe you PC just can't handle it, or you didn't download all of the winamp files

Hmmm. that is intriguing. I have Winamp 2.72, and it works like magic. You could always use Windows Media Player.

What is the speed and brand (ie. Intel, AMD, Cyrix, etc.) of your processor? WinAMP runs fine on my computer (P2-450) but I had to alter some of the settings for it to run on my wifes computer (Cyrix M2-300, pos). I run version 2.71.....but will update to 2.72 now that I know it is out.

i think it had something do do with plugins i installed.

oh yeah, btw, how do u uninstall output plug ins?

Even in version 2.75, you have to delete them.
