Well that was my earlier common sense point. There's lots of other things wrong with shady porn and warez sites that make them not worth visiting though.
No, stop repeating 'common knowledge' mantra's. IE, while not secure, in the hands of a cautious surfer and properly configured can be just as safe. Its just that FF and Opera are better out of the box.
I tried googling "origins of illegal operation" and on the third page or so, I got "free illegal operation download." When I tried clicking on it just to see what it was, it warned that it might be malware.
Which version of Windows are you using? I would not use Zone Alarm with Vista. it was much better during the XP days. 3rd party firewalls can cause all kinds of problems for average users that they don't experience with Windows firewall. If you insist on a 3rd party software firewall I would go with Commodo which at least has less compatibility problems. Otherwise, use a router, Windows firewall and Firefox + no script extension.
