[WIP] Project Civ: A Quality-Oriented Civ Pack

The red and green were nearly identical. The colours of ethiopia look darker in game due to transparency.

That, and red and green tend to look the same because green will look dark against red unless it's obnoxiously bright, regardless of its luminance.

Portugal's colours are darker than greece's, and Israel is an inverted Greece.

I may see if I can make Portugal's colours exactly the same as Hypereon's Finland, that way when they're in the same game, one will be forced over to an alternate colour (I think that's how it works)

However, if it's a good compromise, I can always go Inverse Ethiopia.

Or, I can change Ethiopia's colours when Portugal is activated. Green on Yellow?

looks nice!

well the colours I'm using are as identical to Ethiopa as Hunnic to Carthagian

Alright guys, here's the situation. Poland, Portugal, and the Zulu were originally civs that I was going to do. However, in light of recent happenings with Firaxis, I'll be shelving these until further notice.

However, I'd like to introduce to you a civ that will eventually take their place in the lineup. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them, but I've got a few ideas coalescing.

As usually, you're gonna have to guess based on the icon.

Janboruta, don't spoil it.

That being said, I'm wrapping up Sparta and will be making a public alpha release soon.

What recent happenings? Was new DLC announced or something?

Do them anyway, Irkalla. If Firaxis does them... yours are better quality :goodjob:. Seriously. In terms of Balance, Art and Historical Accuracy your civs are better than firaxis. The only problem is music... not a major issue

If the new expansion turns out to be legitimate (god I hope so.) I'm certain there'll be plenty of Civs left over. I'm pretty certain that we'll never see a Firaxis Israel, or Sparta, and maybe even Phoenecia. Also unlikely are Inuits and Cahoika....point is that there's a big world out there that needs Civifying.

So no guesses on the civ that I'll be working on after Phoenicia?

Here are some hints.

UA: [redacted] - Upon capturing a city, your empire generates 20% more culture for 1 turn per post-capture population.

(Capturing a size 40 city should leave you with 20 pop, which means your empire will experience 20% more culture generation for 20 turns.)

Your second hint, is that they're not European... Geographically.

A colony, or somebody on the periphery of Europe?

I'm guessing Israel, with their interest in converting foreigners nearby...but shouldn't they get something Faith-based?

Israel's already been mentioned. I was thinking for Israel that they get faith for kills, and when they take over a city, they purge all faiths that aren't the main one in their capital.

Also, pay attention to the species of bird in the icon... It's very important, as it's the national bird of many present day countries in the region.

here's another civ I've been kicking around for quite some time. Their UA will have something to do with the sea, and if I tell you the name of their UU I'll give it away. I'm thinking their UB will replace the temple or something.

it rather looks familiar to me, I'm betting it's a condor which would mean this would have to be an andean civilization
