[WIP]The Peacekeeper Wars

I know I should be able to have units cross nebula with the bmoveallterrain tag, or find some workaround for it. I don't want to use the paradrop function like you guys use because in TPKW, the long range traveling, 'starbursting', is increadibly innacurate and you need specialized markers to home in on (hence why roads are called 'Starburst Markers'). I also dislike using the paradrop function for spaceships because if you can jump to a certain coordinante, you are unable to jump back to the original coordinate. I'll try and see what works.

Actually (in B5 lore), hyperspace is actually pretty innacurate too, you need a net of beacons to accurately pinpoint your location, this is represented by the FF jump lanes, but when a ship will make a jump on its own (without jumplanes) the actual jump location must be out of the "fog", that is, it has to be recon-ed before being able to jump otherwise the jumping ship will become lost in hyperspace never to be seen again. In fact there is an idea to make a "lost ship in hyperspace" event, but no serious effort has been made to implement it.

Perhaps you could see how submarines can travel into the polar ice of vainilla civ.

I know I can easily have a ship travel under nebula and I'll definitly be adding that to Zenetian Raiders, and possibly cloaked gunships.
Once my finals are over I'll play around in XML to see if I can get workers to build roads in nebula and then have a unit travel over it.
EDIT: You were right, I don't think there is any way to get ships to travel over nebula only if there is a road. If I want that I'll have to script it which I don't know how to.

I've started merging in FF+, but I have a media question.
>Is there any way to rip music and video off of youtube? I've found the soundtrack that plays at the opening of Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars, and some clips of the battle and I could string them together with a video editing software.

Thanks.(10 char)

I tried merging in FF+, but I encountered a strange error involving the custom dll that does work. If your interested in helping, follow here:

EDIT: Thanks to Orlanths help, the next version will have actual music from Farscape. (Yay strange electronic voices singing!). PV, if you need any B5 music ripped from youtube, I can try and do some hunting for it.

Hi Ajidica, thanks for the offer, i have 3 CD's from the series but i know that there were a lot more CD's brought out from the Series. Ideally i am after some Diplomacy music for each of the races and so far all i have really found are some small snippets on the CD's i have and i haven't had the time to sit down and actually clip out the piece i want to use. So, if you manage to find something you think may be useful to the B5 mod please let me know.

I'll see if I can locate anything. In the next release of my mod there will be some farscape tracks and the entire rescore of metropolis done by The New Pollutants from youtube. (its not copyright infringement as the makers put it up on youtube and linked back to their site where you can dl it. The metropolis tracks are sort of a electronic/orchestral hybrid with alot of vocal parts.)
Heres and example:

If you haven't seen it, I highly reccoment watching it. Considering it was made in 1927, the effects and plot are astounding. I also have a link to the original soundtrack, but the movie is of a poorer quality.

Adjica,

you might still want to ask the makers for permission to use their music in your mod, since they still own the copyright and have the right to decide how their material gets distributed.

I will when I get around to it. But they put it up on youtube so technicaly they made it public domain.
