Hi, faced the next situation during my yesterday civ6 session:

Other civ has conquered city state and constructed petra in that city. After that I declared that civ (Greece, but its unimportant as I think) and released city state (made it free again). Than I was able to construct and even finish petra by myself :)

So it seems like city states aren't checked for great wonders existence. But they should be.

My copy is version 1.0.0.0.26

Germany conquered Valletta and built the Pyramids there. I liberated the city-state during a holy war that Germany declared on me. Afterwards, I discovered that the Pyramids are in my build list in my cities again. However, it appears to still be standing on the tile in Valletta where Germany built them.

I am currently constructing the Pyramids anew to see what happens.

In my current game, early on the Aztecs conquered Preslav and later on built Petra in Preslav.

I finally liberated Preslav, and now I can build Petra once more in my cities, even though Petra is present in Preslav. I do remember seeing the notification that Petra was built so it's not an incomplete wonder that shows up on the map, and it does show up in the tooltip meaning that it has been built there, not under construction.

I am using the current version with Aztec DLC.

Here is the situation:

Russia conquered city state, Preslav.
Russia built Petra and Huey Teocalli.

I liberated Preslav. The wonders did not disappear from the map.

I was then able to build Petra and could have built Huey Teocalli if I had a lake.

I did not try to reconquer Preslav.
