Wonder Ideas for C2C

More wonders please?

There are some errors in your XML files. In particular your Building Class Needed sets. They should look lie this
Code:
			<BuildingClassNeededs>
				<BuildingClassNeeded>
					<BuildingClassType>BUILDINGCLASS_XXXXX</BuildingClassType>
					<bNeededInCity>1</bNeededInCity>
				</BuildingClassNeeded>
			</BuildingClassNeededs>
but you have
Code:
			<BuildingClassNeededs>
				<BuildingClassNeeded>BUILDINGCLASS_XXXXX</BuildingClassNeeded>
			</BuildingClassNeededs>

This happens in three or four of your buildings. Also I think one of you building schema files may not be up to date as I get propertysource is not a valid tag.

@SargontheGreat2, you forgot to remove the citation numbers from the wiki text "[2]" for example in the Stratosphere Casino. Actually I think that may be the only one you missed.

edit you also have a couple of tab characters in that text which causes problems.

edit 2 I am still getting PropertyManipulators is used not not in schema in the Circus Circus Casino building infos file. I checked the schema file in that folder and it does not appear to be up to date since it does not have the tag in it.

edit 3 BUILDINGCLASS_MUSEAM is wrong in Getty Center

edit 4 in Bonneville building class file you have dropped an N in the default building ie it should be
Code:
			<DefaultBuilding>BUILDING_BON[B]N[/B]EVI[B]L[/B]E</DefaultBuilding>
not
Code:
			<DefaultBuilding>BUILDING_BO[B]N[/B]EVI[B]LL[/B]E</DefaultBuilding>

edit 5 there is something wrong in the Stratosphere Casino which I can't see but the building is not working at all.

Do you want me to put the fixes up? I have done all but the Stratosphere Casino which I have deleted from my play version of C2C. I am still trying to find the error in my stuff but it is difficult with all these other errors around :D

Most recent version produces an XML error:

Tag: BUILDINGCLASS_MUSEAM in Info class was incorrect
Current XML file is: modules\Sargon\Wonders\Getty Center\Getty_CIV4BuildingInfos.xml

EDIT:

Tag: BUILDINGCLASS_STRATOSPHERE in Info class was incorrect
Current XML file is: modules\Sargon\Wonders\Stratosphere Casino\Stratosphere_CIV4BuildingInfos.xml

This should be in the bug/crashes thread, thx. . . SO

edit 5 there is something wrong in the Stratosphere Casino which I can't see but the building is not working at all.

These may be reasons of this error:

1. Stratosphere_BuildingClassInfos.xml may have to be named as Stratosphere_CIV4BuildingClassInfos.xml

2. In Stratosphere_CIV4BuildingInfos.xml
Code:
			<PrereqOrFeature>
				<PrereqFeature>
				<FeatureType>NONE</FeatureType>
				<bPrereqFeature>1</bPrereqFeature>
				</PrereqFeature>
			</PrereqOrFeature>

This should be just <PrereqOrFeature/> or removed.

After I modified these, there was no xml error during loading.

+ Now buttons of all added wonders are pink? (See attached image)

EDIT: Kerala reuploaded with some bug that DH found and some that I found stomped

Thanks. Uploaded it to the SVN for you.

EDIT: I am getting errors when loading the game. Please fix them Sargon.

EDIT2: Make sure you read the Bug thread on a regular basis. Strategyonly seems to have posted so bugs in your mod. Please read what he said and fix them accordingly. Thanks!

And please at least load up the game before posting attachments. Right now you have been having me upload broken files to the SVN. I would normally test them but I have been busy over the last few days.

@Sargon: You can minimize your xml errors a LOT by using the debug dll as a last step check. To do this, rename the normal dll in the assets to end with something like '.core' and then take the dll that's in the assets where it's name ends in '.debug' and rename it to remove the '.debug'. Then load the mod. It will show you where your xml errors lie in 90% of cases. Reverse those changes to bring it back to the normal dll state.

Sorry, having friends over the past few days, and I'm sorry for not fixing those bugs. However, I think I know how to get around the files pretty well, and would like to keep working on the wonders. Are all the bugs gone, or am I debugging wrong, because opening the game is fine.

I think all except the problem with the game text for the Stratosphere Casino are fixed. I can't see anything wrong but I keep getting the message "white space is not allowed" and then the whole text file is not loaded.

Then just take 5 minutes to look for a new pedia entry elsewhere?
Wikipedia isn't the only site to describe that building :D

As a general point (not strictly on Wonders, but they are the main reason it matters), there is a global max number of trade routes a city can have. This is in a global define, and in C2C is currently set to 16. It's actually pretty easy to reach this limit, as we have tons of buildings that add trade routes, and tons of Wonders that do especially. In my current game I'm up to 12 already as I enter the Middle Ages (none of which are from Wonders in that city).

This can viewed as either a problem of it being too easy to get large numbers of trade routes (i.e. - a general building issue), OR a problem with the limit being too low. Either way though, it's easy to hit the limit and therefore have a lot of Wonders that effectively do nothing special at all.

Maybe some bonus to Palace or Ancient Ruins, because it was meant to represent the entire history of Iran(Persia)

Good idea. I tweaked it with new stats.

I think the limit is too low. C2C has taken everything way beyond the default settings that a limit of 16 is WAY too low. Especially if we ever get to outer space trading.
