Didn't your earlier guesses tell you guys there had to be two E's in three of the words?

As noted, I recognised "GENRE" immediately from the 3 starters, but (stupidly?) didn't guess it as my fourth, so no. My starters had also not included/eliminated an "O", so all I had for "NEWER" was "_ _ _ E R plus N", so that was still pretty open (prior to "WAGER" and "NURSE"). With hindsight, though, I am a bit annoyed with myself for failing to notice that "GENRE" (and "NEWER") now confirmed the duplication: I could have solved "_ A G E R" in eight if I'd paid more attention.

Today's Wordle (and Quordle) went better for me than yesterday's. I used yesterday's Wordle solution as my first starter for both, and got Wordle in 4 (eliminating 6 consonants and 3 vowels in 2 guesses considerably reduces the possibilities!) and Quordle in 7/8/5/4 (after guessing the wrong doubled letter on the third solution)

Yesterday I dreamed about Quordle o_O.
I tried to get to the right website, but whatever I tried, I got other guessing games with random outcomes.

A recurring nightmare of mine is trying to do some super-easy task - like typing a Web address into browser - and failing however much I try (either I keep hitting wrong keys or they make wrong characters or disappear altogether...). Gah!

Yeah, it is, but it was still a right bugger. I got it in four, but after my third guess it took me a long time to think of any possibilities for the letters I had left. When I finally thought of one, I rejected it because it had a very rare letter, but once I had that word-form in my head, that suggested a second option that I liked better. Still a total Hail-Mary, though
