Do you think we can hope to get your unit packs (Japanese?) one day?
Before I release any other packs, I would like to get my upcoming pack done. Tom said he might be able to help again. Hopefully he can since he has the files already.

But since Kyriakos and Ogedei have revised ancient Japan, I made my own Kofun wonder. None of its from me, the image of a Kofun is form an ancient Japanese history magazine, and the building icon is from a website, I just edited the images.

This is the existing Civ 3 leaderhead of George Washington. May be it can help you a little bit (animated image) :):

I'm not sure what the status is. Its a very large pack, and Tom has his own projects, I cannot ask him to stop what he is doing and finish something that really should be my own responsibility.

But there will be some units uploaded by the end of this weekend. I can't say what they are yet.

Guerilla: military pants & funky shirts, an Ak-47 in one hand and a bottle of booze in the other :)
An African version would be nice, + a european and a south-american revolutionary, "hasta siempre"...

I plan to release a generic Special Forces, and generic Guerrilla, any ideas on what they should look like?

You might want to consider the following:

There are already some good “classic” guerilla type units around. When saying "classic guerilla" I mean a guy armed with AK-47 and wearing pseudo-military clothing as seen in most irregular warfare from ME to SE Asia since ’60s of last century.
To deal with specific situations Gary Childress made some Vietcong units as well as an Afghan fighter and few more units usable in ME context. Also Navy Dawg made a ME RPG launcher.
What is still lacking, at least IMO, is a XXI century urban insurgent, not specifically linked to any traditional theater of war. He (or she) can be in civilian clothing, maybe with a scarf hiding the face. No need for standard infantry weapons such as assault rifles of grenades: Molotov bottles and a pistol or even sticks and knives could be enough.

An urban guerilla would be fun. Scarf, hooded top, jeans or combats, pistol, molotov.

I second that, provided that you distinguish between protesters and urban guerillas.

I don't know much that you don't know about urban guerillas, so I'll reserve comment.

But I do know that we don't have any modern protesters in the database, but we do have riot police units. So sad...

I agree with Quinzy about the basics: Dark clothing, combat boots, scarves (they like black & white, but there is no "look", save that european protesters prefer scarves with fringe), hooded tops sometimes, and backpacks are common. I've never seen them use guns, but Molotov Cocktails have been a popular means of communication at World Economic Cabal meetings. I propose that it should be an M-Unit of 3 or more, since the very idea is that it's a mob - and a Protesters M-unit would be easier to match up against police, strength-wise. Just one protester would only be annoying, mistaken for an anarchist, arrested for impersonating a college student, and beat to a pulp.

This popped up and I had to link to it. I have no idea what the story behind it is.

This one's fun, obviously the fairer sex, and the steampunk goggles are a great touch.
