Work in progess and Previews

if you change the horse legs, they will not fit with the units of sandris and imperator, which are predominant units, i agree on you with the proportions, but the game does not look unitary anymore, i assume you want your units to be individualy marked, your own signature, but for us, gamers, it is like a bad copy paste modpack that comes out. i hope you understand my point. good or bad, the utahjazz' horse is present in over 90% of the best units around here. your choice...

ps however i am glad to see you working and i like all the proposals you have made, when can you release a priest pack, and also i would like to request a nestorian priest for the middle east

@Wolfshade:
There is a Hospitallar horseman, Ares requested one a long time ago, and I never got around to uploading it.

I could maybe add a Hospitallar Spearman, Templar Swordsman.

In my post I mentioned Ancient Japan, not Medieval Japan.

But I have rendered many Medieval Japanese and Medieval Korean units. Both will have gunpowder Units.
And For Japan, it will continue into the Edo Period.

Of course the more help I can get with Pals and FLC conversion the faster this can go.

@ Jerry'sGoldfish
I understand your concerns, I have no desire for me units to be individualy marked, with my own signature.
But I feel that thin legs just look better. And with Sandris gone and Balam-Agab making thin leg horses, I will go in that direction. Its something that should have been done a long time ago I feel, so I'm making a stand.

I'm open to making a Nestorian priest, but your picture with the Catholic-style Tonsure haircut, is identical to Plotinus's Franciscan Friar.

you are right shiro...what can i say, show us some preview...i understand.
also i will search for a nestorian priest...

Shiro, I thought yesterday about this:
Of course the more help I can get with Pals and FLC conversion the faster this can go.
and thought about whether I can help.
Using the tutorial for creating multi-figure units, I made ~10 in the 2013 summer. So I know how and have software to convert graphics files to the storyboard and then convert to .flc files.
About palettes - I don't know whether this will work, but I use the freeware IrfanView to edit palettes and, what's most important for me, to limit them. I usually limit color depth of 254 colors (+ 2 transparent colors) using smoothing preset and it looks good enough for me. So, probably, it would work for you too.

Anyway, these are the things I can do (know how, have instruments and some experience) already, so if I can help - I do offer my help. :)

Were you also working on Joseon Dynasty units?

If you're still making priests, you could re-use Joseon military outfits for Korean Mudang. Since many of their deities include "General" (Jang'gun) gods or goddesses, their costumes tend to mimic Joseon generals' uniforms.

I made a Colorized Version of the Hospitaller by utahjazz7 with no civ colors.
Uses the same palette... the Blue Civ Colored areas use the browns in the palette. Remade the large and small Civilopedia images and a new units_32.
...Not sure if anyone is interested but I would upload it if I can get in touch with utahjazz7 to get his OK.

This is the attack just to show the colors:

Hmmmm, Korean units.

Hopefully so. I had told Shiro I'd help and had the time - until the deadline for an abstract got moved up. I still want to help, but time to commit is questionable.

Now that was a silly thing to say. "What, another unit by utahjazz7 recolorized by Vuldacon? Meh" :p Definitely upload it, imho.

Done and Done. Great job, Vuldacon.:goodjob:

Shiro, excuse me for dividing your attention, but are you any closer to releasing the rest of the Old West Leaderheads that you were working on? I would love to be able to use them. :)

Those are indeeds gifts from a wise man on such a glorious day, Balthasar.

I forget which ones I haven't released yet, do you know?

Well I did finally get that pack done.

I'm still unsure how I will do the Mundang but I have some ideas
this, or this but I dont know how accurate it would be for a pre-Joseon dynasty mudang.
I think with the fan, I can just modify the Shinto priest/Onmyodo to make a mudang

Yes, I do. Of the ones I did PCX's for: Crazy Horse, Chief Joseph, Geronimo, Faustin I, Haida, Maximilian I, Peter Pitchlynn, Quanah Parker, Sam Houston, & Teddy Roosevelt.

I'm particularly interested in Quanah Parker and Sam Houston at the moment, though the others are well worth releasing.

So far, from that pack, you've released: John Fremont, Norton I, Osborn Russell, Cowboy, Pioneer Woman, Brigham Young, William Walker, Ulysses S. Grant, George A. Custer, Wyatt Earp (all released Apr. 2012), Abe Lincoln, Benito Juarez, Chipeta of the Ute (Nov 2012), & Abraham Lincoln II the remake (Jan 2013).

Either one is fine for the mudang (although it's kind of funny that an advertising poster for Compaq would have an accurate costume for one, even though the context certainly isn't! :crazyeye: ;) )

The five colors on the sleeves are a definite must.
