Work in progess and Previews

These probably dont show up well at civ scale, but here is a preview of the next release.

I plan to add standard infantry from a few more countries.

just wondering if this one is still in your plans ;)

thanks

They've all been rendered. Theyre just waiting to be converted into units

Next pack will include:
France
Germany
Italy
Spain
Russia
US
US marine
US machine gunner

So I guess when I get around to it, my next modern pack should include:
Sweden
Turkey
Britian
Portugal
Greece
Mexico
Egypt
Peru or another South American country
Some Africans, probably South Africa, Ethiopia, and Angola
A few Central Asians nations
Singpore
Indonesia
Malyasia

And that should probably be it as far as modern countries are concerned

I also need to make a woodland camo and desert camo m16

since i like and need your units very much may i ask you to release the small priest pack, since i believe they are almost done, and then you can go back to modern armies again, but i believe it is too much for me to wait for those wonderfull units such a long time...:(

Thanks for your reply. It's even better than my guess...

Which priests?

The priests I showed several years ago were lost.
I do have a few remade ones, but not enough for a pack

ohhhhhhhhhhhh man - what da hack? i knew you lost some of them but the priests...
they were so beautifull....

These modern infantry will be a hit, to be sure.

And then the Anatolian lot will be up for review and production I hope !!?? :crazyeye:

You once mentioned an Indian Gurkha from period WW2-Modern time, anything on this bloke ?

Perhaps. Now that I am using an automated process for rendering it frees up a lot of time.
But now I am busy with real life stuff, so... the advantage is canceled out.

Oh any chance of a modern legionnaire? :mischief:
Probably not. Looking at the Early Republic and the Late Byzantines its hard to imagine modern Roman infantry would wear armor from 2000 years ago, simply because their civilization was still around.
Although those kinds of things do sometimes look cool. Although 19th century Cuirassiers did wear helmets similar to the Greeks and Romans.

Anyway, Kinboat made one a long time ago.
They are a bit large, but resizing would be much faster than making a whole new unit:
Industrial Legionare
Modern Legionare

Oh, thats different. Its something I thought about, but I wasnt sure how to do it.

Either desert camo with a white kepi or parade dress.

They use the same battle rifle as the French army, so I would just have to modify my French infantry unit.

Well, to be honest they look like any French infantry in full battlegear, but when they don't wear helmet the legionnaire wears le béret vert, the green beret, the colour of which only the Legion wears among the French armed forces.

But the white képi is so iconical... actually I love your idea of a legionnaire in parade dress!

Yes I saw pictures of them in woodland camo with a green beret, that's what turned me off from making the unit initially, even with the FAMAS it looked too generic.

For me the parade dress would be best so that the unit really stands out, but desert camo and a white kepi is also good.

All units are converted to flc, now I just need to add sounds and make PCX.
I was thinking
US army- Hooah
US Marines - Oorah or Sempre fi
Russian army - Ura or Rossiya-Matushka!
Franch army - Vive la France !
German army - Wir dienen Deutschland! probably just "Deutschland!"
Spanish army - Viva España!
Italian army - Viva l'Italia!

You could have the Italians shouting 'Forza Italia"!', or the Spaniards shouting '¡A por ellos!' when attacking.
Ive decided to re-release the infantry units without the bayonet.
Could there be a combination? I don't know how much rendering time it would take, but having a bayonet melee attack animation similar to Firaxis' Guerilla unit's and a bayonet-less (standard) gunfire attack would make for a nice combination.

"Forza Italia" is actually a name of a political party. Most people in Italy would not appreciate this... Moreover "Viva l'Italia" seems more appropriate as victory sound.
