Looking at the most recent save now:
- Wow, our tech situation is bad, isn't it?
(All those damned cities that Nody keeps building
. And I admit that the city I suggested (Buryngrad) hasn't turned out too well - yet.) I agree that we need Nationalism, Communism and Fascism, to run the jingoistic, totalitarian, socialist civics. But Fascism is a LONG way off still, because its route goes through Mil Sci, Chemistry, Steam Power, and Assembly Line (all of which, of course, we need).
- I suppose we should stay with our present civics until Fascism come in, so that suggests not fighting unless attacked (because of Pacifism), but keeping a good defence and focussing on city improvements for tech and espionage. (which is what others are saying

) And considering our eventual targets.
- Then (around 1900, edit: maybe 1950 actually), when we have the war civics, we unleash our plans for domination.
<doubt> But, I'm not so sure about those two points I just made. The AI does turtling and tech better than the human, and the human does war better than the AI. So perhaps we should keep warring even with Pacifism.</doubt>

Note: It is much cheaper now to steal techs from France in Amsterdam. So we should move the spy and wait another 5 turns. (I know that it 5 turns we can probably steal in Aix, too, but at higher cost. And we want to steal again, someday.)
