Hey what's up guys. I am making a scenario for World War II that will use Rhye's Earth Map with 18 civs. These are the nations that will be in the scenario. Note that unless someone wants to make the appropriate leaderheads for me, the scenario has to use the in-game leaderheads. So yes, Winston Churchill will be a woman. And also all of the cities will be accurately placed. Except Eastern Russia, because that's too much for me to do, but the rest of the countries will have accurately placed cities. Western Russia is accurate. Here are the nations in the scenario and their leaders.

United States of America (Replaces America)
President Franklin Roosevelt

United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (Replaces England)
Prime Minister Winston Churchill

French Third Republic (Replaces France)
General Charles de Gaulle

Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Replaces Russia)
Chairman Joseph Stalin

Nazi Germany (Replaces Germany)
Fuhrer Adolf Hitler

Japanese Empire (Replaces Japan)
Emperor Hirohito

Fascist Italy (Replaces Rome)
II Duce Benito Mussolini

Republic of China (Replaces China)
Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek

Nation: Republic of Poland (Replaces Egypt)
Leader: President Ignacy Moscicki

Republic of Turkey (Replaces India)
President Ismet Inonu

Kingdom of Greece (Replaces Greece)
King George II

Kingdom of Iran (Replaces Persia)
Reza Shah Pahlavi

People's Repubic of Mongolia (Replaces Mongolia)
Chairman Horloogiyn Choybalsan

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Replaces Arabia)
King Saud

Spanish State (Replaces Spain)
Generalissimo Francisco Franco

Republic of Peru (Replaces Inca)
President Manuel Prado

United Mexican States (Replaces Aztec)
President Manuel Camacho

Other Countries (Not Playable) (Replaces Mali)

I'm having a couple of problems that I hope you guys can help me with. It's mainly with the editor I'm using. I'm using this editor.

http://civilization4.filefront.com/file/Civ4_SaveScenarioMap_Editor;51179

Firstly, whenever I try to create Permament Alliances/Defensive Pacts, etc. in the editor, it never gets saved. And I know I've saved it manually. Secondly, the date doesn't even save. I set it to 1939 yet it keeps going back to 4000BC. And lastly, the technology doesn't save either. I give all the nations their appropriate techs using the editor yet it doesn't get saved. What gives? I'll try to get some screenies up of the scenario in a while.

So do you guys have any solutions to the editor problems? Or should I just get another editor? And thanks for the comments.

It's a good idea, but it's too unbalanced. If you play Poland or Spain, or even Germany, you're doomed since the US and especially the USSR are way too big. I think a map of Europe would be better fitting for the WWII-scenario, with just a bit of America right across the Atlantic, and the US and UK joined as the Allies (maybe with 2 leaders?). That way, it would be a lot more challenging and evenly-matched. Have a look at the Civ2 scenario of WWII, everyone who played it will agree that it was fantastic!
but... that's only my opinion, don't let it discourage you!

I personally do not like any of the editors so far. I'm waiting for one that is like Civ 3's. Anyway, I love the global idea. Good work so far.

Don't worry I will balance it out. Poland was very important to the war and to leave them out would be bad. I'll give them more troops or something.

Python scripting would, help, make a civilization defeated by destroying all their units - this would reflect the Poles fledding to London.
