Am I the only one who first interpreted the word "right" as in morally right, not factually right?

Either way, I can't really give a single answer to the question.

closer. Being in the right socially, maybe?

I'd much rather be happy. It's not even close.

Unfortunately, I've spent 21 years of being consistently right, and consistently unhappy  ;)

Most of the times when I am right, it is not a good thing. However, I chose right, since being right is much better than being happy. You can be happy but be wrong all the time...

I suppose if I was truly happy, being wrong wouldn't bother me.

And if I was wrong, and was politely corrected, I would have learned something and remained happy, but in a more enlightened situation than before.

I think "right" means politically conservative and "happy" means drug-addled lefty moonbats.

Vive la re-election!

The results of this poll astound me. How does being 'right' count for anything if you're not happy? It's like those mopes who tell you the world is out to get them, then congratulate themselves when thier prphesy somes true...!

let's say you get in an argument with a significant other and you know they is being irrational. You could point this out and be right, or you can let it blow over and be happy with that person. Which is better?
Of course beign happy. But also of course, me and alot of people commonly known as "cretins" are incapable of letting it go when we feel we're right.

I can appreciate that beign happy is better on a theoretical level; but on reality if I know I'm right I'll prove I'm right no matter how miserable it makes me and all around me feel

im tired of all the pointless petty battling in my life rite now, i would rather just sit back, hold my dears hand and be happy.

It really depends on the situation

Being right often leads to happiness. Besides I like being right even if it can be unhappy at times

Being right and having nobody to believe you is one of the most horrible feelings that I can have, and it's happening way too often. Being Cassandra is a real curse. I'd much rather be happy.
