Writing in Gunpowder

A scout from Madrid has met a German scout (emissaries!) and have offered open borders for our peoples should they meet one anothers lands across the world from each other... we hope the Germans would be willing to agree.

I don´t know if you noticed, but my Scouts have found your border ages ago, it was actually during one of my first turns after I replaced whoever it was that played Germany before me.
I pondered whether I should send you a message but decided against it, reasoning that you were too far away to be consistently in contact with me.

I don´t like the ingame diplochat with its arbitrary maximum length per message, I´ll send you the greeting of my Scouts via PM.

Lo and behold, I have finished another chapter!

In other news I also came around to name some of the landmarks, namely the Muscovy River, which springs from a mountain range between Munich and Hamburg, and the Fleischberg Hills, that I mentioned in my greeting to Nighthawk.

I´m not so sure about that, there is another Copper southwest of Moscow and I´m sure the Russians will connect it until I find time to build a Galley and move a Settler to that island.
To my south, on the other hand, is Ivory...

Oh the Decisions! Galley/Settler then Harbor and Harbor :(

I have replied to my communications with knoedel via PM... I also have the turn and will play it when I get a chance. I hope to do some writing today, my muse has returned! :)

Funny really, huh? You can´t be bothered to write anything for a month and when you meet another player you suddenly get a writing urge.
I think that´s also the reason why we easily write so much for Next War PBEM, since it is an all-human game.

I forgot to mention previously, Spain is now officially a Monarchy run by the Queen, rather than a collection of city-states... it was a cool concept but short lived as I learned Monarchy with the Oracle!

I already figured from the references in the messages from your emissaries and the fact that you renamed yourself Queen Isabella in-game.
Meanwhile Germany continues to be centered firmly on its capital of Berlin with the town of Hamburg and the fort of Munich being mere outposts under the formal rule of Führer Frederick, hold together by commerce and distrust of Russians.

I just whipped a Library in Berlin and I already know how to put it in story form, but between having spent the better part of the day writing for Next War PBEM and the fact that I still have lots of preparing to do for my final exams I think I might have to either put the game on hold again for a while or write about it decades if not centuries after it actually happened in-game.
I just hope I can finish my next chapter before my vacation next month.

sorry for holding it up, life got in the way... I still never got to updating my story and I have a LOT to update... one of these days maybe!

Well would you look at that, the Russians have built the Great Wall and I have completed my first Library, I hope I can put something together about that within this month.
