WW1 Real Time or PBEM

Watch out on spending too much blood, in case you happen to provoke a revolt... Maybe even a revolution...

Actually, to be serious for a brief space of time, how do you guys want me to deal with the commie revolt? That WAS a major part of the war, so do you guys want me to RP that event at the proper time? Or should I simply blow it off and just do whatever?

It would be interesting to see how things work out if I really DO pull out of the war at say 1916-17 and just sit on the sidelines... after ceceding poland and the balkans

But I have a feeling we as a team are more concerned with winning than historicity

It should depend on how the war is going for you at the time... From everything that I've learned in History class and the history channel is that the Russians were pretty bad off at the time of the Commie Revolt and that was the main cause of it... I'd say that if you were losing great numbers of troops and cities on top of that, something similiar should happen, but off course that is up to your opponents...

And of course, if you somehow do reasonably well, I'd imagine the people would be quite happy with the Tsar and want to keep him and his family around.

Anyways, just play to win!!!

Well, I am something of a socialist IRL so I think Russia will be seeing red regardless of how I am doing... so long as no one is hyper interested in how things go history-wise I think that is what I will do ;p

Asking all this because I am something of an obsessive when it comes to history ;p

:crazyeye: AND WHEN DO I GET TO PLAY :crazyeye:

No big reason, but I was wondering if your political views are that of a socialist? or if you prefer the use of a communist government in the game?

No biggie...just if you find a communist government beneficial in the game I would like to know why and what game experiences cause that...

Lastly, :king: The Kaiser :king: promises you the turn 30 minutes to an hour after he receives it! Maybe with troops in Russian lands :D .

Haha, greaaaat. Smoke up tony! ;p

And although I am politically a socialist, and a communist (two different things as I am sure you all know) in game I really just use democracy like everyone else... unless I feel like pulling a  Hitler :satan:

For some reason, despite the fact that the only successful "communist" countries IRL (just jumped up dicatorships) are the large ones, this game makes it so that large commie countries find themselves horribly handicapped by corruption.

Democracy and Communism in their true forms are the same things; its socialism and capitalism that are different ;p
For civ4, I would really like them to make that point!

As for you, German Evil Person Who Sniffs Glue, remember this: :spear:

;p

No...you said he had it so he should be sending to you next...

Detlef, you around?

SOB! Where is that heathen!?!

We will launch a CRUSADE upon him! FREE THE HOLY CITY OF CONSTANTINOPLE!

Seriously though, if he does not respond soon, it will be time to start thinking about a replacement... already...

I know he should be sending it to me next but I haven't heard from him since he acknowledged receipt of the turn so I thought i'd ask if anyone had heard anything in case he had sent the turn on to the wrong person ... i've seen games held up for a week for similar reasons.

Might be a bit soon to be talking of a replacement just yet though ....

Haha Im not that coldhearted. I think a few days would be a good time to start actually talking about getting one, but it is time to start wondering where he is ;p

Just a thought ... the Allies should share their passwords with the other Allies while the Triple Alliance do likewise - that way, should someone dissapear, we can replace that player instead of ruining the game.

Sorry guys for this delay. I've got some misty pc problems over the weekend. So i must wait until Today morning and my pc at work.

I killed 2 russian cossacks NW of Sofia and NE of Varna.

German High Command considers the Belgium Defensive of the past week a great success. They are confident that offensive actions will be able to continue in the next week or two as reinforcements head to the Western Front. Meanwhile, defensive positions have been reinforced against any possible Russian invasions on the currently quiet Eastern Front.

--Lastly, sorry for the delay in my turn...my university's server was down for much of the day.

Russia has again burninated the lands of Austria, shelled the Austrian town of Tarnesvar, and killed one Austrian trooper (type forgotten).

Minefields of Turkey in the Baltic have been wiped out.

Movements finished, will send file soon.

Russia reminds the German weenies that WE WILL BURY YOU!!!
