About tech trading: I have been stealing techs from my allies and using my cash to rush. So yeah, I think TT for multiplayer should be allowed; this is costing me time and money stupidly.
About cavalry: no. the russian cavalry's ability to hit the enemy from far away is the ONLY advantage of the out-teched, out-produced, over stretched russian army. i made a HUGE mistake with my first few turns of slash and burn on austria; any future russian players will probably run things a bit better than i did on the first few turns (although i doubt they will match the great raid ;p).
artillery: all of saverok's scenarios have really powerful arty. it makes sense in this one. however, it would surprise me to hear that russia is one of the few countries to have the ability to build 2tile ranged arty.
question: why does russia not start with conscription? i mean yeah sure game balance... but russia=conscription...
i guess it might be a bit unbalancing, but its really not fair!
I think that some techs should be tradeable, like the preliminary techs, but that the ones that actually let u build something cool should not. that way people would have to do some research, but one person with a high tech rate could do the main stuff.
