all right, the game also freezes with me, and I have no Idea why... I'll post a link in the bug forum... if someone else has the same situation, please let me know...

Great, I can't wait. This scenario by far is the best WW2 scenario yet to come. My father who also plays Civ3 has been enjoying this for several weeks now. He's gone very far as the Germans on Emperor difficulty. He's taken most of the UK, Russia, Spain, and Turkey after taking out the Swedes, Norweigeans, French, Portuguese, Yugoslavs, and so many others. He says this scenario is much more accurate and realistic than all the other scenarios on this site. I must agree.

First I would like to say that this is a excellent scenario but there are some errors such as the unit graphics you have the Churchill tank graphic as the T-34 there is a graphic for the T-34 and the same with the Fw-190. Also if I remember right the Swedes were neutral until 1945
 
@ Beowulf: thx for the hint on sweden, I already corrected it, a few weeks ago, just didn't upload it yet--- are you sure about the T-34, ASAIK it is the only graphic there is, meaning it is the same graphic in the T-34 and the Churchill folder..
 
got a pedialcons problem with american infantry when i try and start this up any ideas?
 
you shoudldn't have any problems if you downloaded the zip file and did everything that is written in the readme.txt (just downloading the sav files won't work...)
--> if you did it right, check the folder structure and the location of the pedialicon.txt---
 
What happened in the French colonies in the middle east, did they follow de Gaulle from the beginning?


If you mean Palestine and Syria, then the Australians had some tough viscious fighting to defeat the French and take these countries.

Algeria also resisted the Allied landings, but only weakly.

Palestine was under British mandate from the start and yes the British and Commonwealth forces occupied Lebanon and Syria in June of 40 i think and Iraq the same year.also the Russians and Americans controlled Iran during the war. North African colonies resisted the alllies for a few days then turned sides and fought against the Nazis.
 
I have thought of some changes to the game that you can add with the next version here are some of them

1) Add a American Airfield or two in the British isles to show the 8th Air Force and the ability for the US to bomb France from England.

2) Increase research length to show a more realsitic time table the US didnt have Heavy Armor until 1945 (M-26) but the Germans had Tigers in 44 so i dont know if you want to seperate the Tiger or M-26 just a idea.

3)Remove the modern age techs and replace them with ww2 era if possible (I.E nuclear submarines,modern armor,nuclear Weapons etc)

4)change or fix the drafting unit from Anti-tank to Infantry I dont know if you want it to be a Bazooka UU but it is

5)Add Scrapa Flow Naval Base for the Commonwealth

6) Add a few British carriers since they did have some at the start of the war. If you need the names for them I can get them for you

7)Change the ratio of infantry right now the Russian Infantry is the same as the German but in real life the German Soldier was better
I suggest the Best being the German then American or British ,Russian and then Italian

8)range of the bombers to add the effect of strategic bombing at the current rate you cant hit germany with bombers from England to make it more realistic add more range for bombers to show the Air War over Europe better.


thats all I have for now but if you need more details like the number of tiles for the bombers or info on carriers I can help you out with that

1/ I'll try it, if it works I'll do it, even though it's not really historic---
2) research length already is 6 months... just depends on which techs the players goes for... in the war time only 13 techs can be researched...
3) as said, with such a slow research rate, the modern Era techs are never reached... maybe in the future if I have a lot of time I'll design a new techtree..

5) Scapa Flow was a base,. not a city, there are no naval bases in the game!! placing a city there wouldn't be right, especially since that would shield the units from attacks by subs....

7) no, thought about it a lot, but for me all infantry is equal, the difference in the war and in the game are the officers in command!!! it is just too polemic to allow for stronger infantry for some nations, especially since this wasn't constant during the war...
8) increased it, don't forget there are also heavy bombers with a larger range (now 25)

to all; don't forget, the scenario is only supposed to be accurate in 1939, what happens then could go as it did, but there is no reason for that!!! the scenario should just make it possible for the game to go as history did, there is no reason it always should!!!
 
nice one, played the brits and was frustrated the french declared war on me as i was rolling into northern germany. so lets hope this new version sorts that

one minor question though, started playing again as the nazi's and was a bit dissapointed to find i had ordinary 'tonka toy' tanks and not panzers. do they appear with heavy armour research? ther nazi's had em at the start
