Amphibious assault captures Lissabon. I figure that my military might is on its way to Coruna so I might as well make a small stop over in Portugal. Besides, the Roman Empire must reclaim all its former lands which means the entire Iberian pennisula.

pazza: Yes. In this scenario, you can build everything under mobilization, but you will not get any production benefit for buildings and some units, like artillery & bombers to name a couple. Rocoteh can correct me if I am wrong, but I think it was his intent that players SHOULD use wartime mobilization for this scenario.

Took Hanoi (French). That was the first time I took a French city. THe reason for taking Hanoi was because there was a bomber based there who kept bombing and destroying my transports.

Encountered a U.S. Convoy-1 Light CA, 2 WWI DD, and 1 transport. Engaged by my bombers and Light Cruiser Nagara class and sunk.
I took both Liuzhou and Wuhan from the Nationalist Chinese forces.
Week 7
Padang is fallen! This looks my oil and rubber resources from Palembang to be able to used throughout my empire (Where I have Air trade). This is indeed a VERY big victory.
Week 8
Took TianShan from the Communists and Chang-Sha from the Nationalists.
Week9
Banjarmasin, another Indonesian city, falls to my armies. My fleet is within striking range of the U.S. West Coast, Crescent City (What is that?) will be my first target.

My fleet is now sailing to Malta to see if we can dislodge the British. My 4 non-C2 BBs will remain at Gibralter to guard the entrance to the Med.

Week 48
The American BB Idado has reappeared, and shells La Coruna. If rushed 10 Bredas there to teach Roosevelt to mess with the Roman Empire.

Week 49
American BBs Colorado and Texas also show up off La Coruna. My Bredas damage them. Italy lacks a serious bomber until the Piaggio, but even then it is underpowered compared to the other major powers.

Week 50
Our air force savages the BB Idaho and it limps home. Naval bombardment weakens Malta's fortress enough for our marines to destroy it.

Week 51
Italian navy continues to shell Malta. Germany takes Teheran and Tian Shan.

Ha. William, what you said about my axis getting its ### kicked is turning around. You will regret that you were France.

The next turn I pretty much take care of the French navy, except for the idiots who moved south. Retards. I was gonna kill them. I continue drafting some folks and I eventually brake the French border! YEAH!!!! That was easy, with me taking about 3 casuaulties. So I move my (now regular or veteran, even) drafted units torwards Marsellies. Man those suckas are goin down so bad. I deplete a couple of units where former Egypt is. Took them down, baby, and I cleared the border, ready for my units to attack Tunis. The next turn. Back to the French border (or inside it.) The French send a small wave of a counter attack. I easily maintain it, but I'll have to wait another turn or two to attack Marsellies because I don't have enough healed up units. I bomb Marsellies and injure so many units it isnt even funny. So, the next turn my units are healed and I move them back one tile away from Marsellies. The French are stupid. They attacked my fortresses on the border instead of my units right outside of Marsellies. There were about 5 French units going there, and I have about 15 or something outside of Marsellies. And the stupid Frenchmen cared more about some stupid Fortress instead of their own city.

Next time - Will I capture Marsellies? Or are there so many units there that my eyes decieve me.

I was thinking about playing as UK on a High difficulty... It seems we already have a few playtests going on though?

WilliamGBTW: It's not impossible, it just seems like it for a while. Once Germany has to deal with USSR though it gets better. As for handling the Soviets... I think you were far too aggressive with your units early on, France needs to sit back and defend, if you try to attack early on you will just repeat history.

Italy did not survive the new year. Completing the road near Venice has now linked up all my resources via Yugoslavia - Greece - Turkey road net. The Alpine forts surrendered peacefully after their last city fell. That one in the city killed two tanks though. Germans and Soviets are sort of stalemated now that I brought in the allies against USSR. Soviets keep trying to take Namur, and exchanging the city north of that with Germany, Germany has STILL not got the -G model, and has less then 15 Panzers on any given turn,Soviets up to 170+. France, by way of comparison, has about 12.

Soviets have taken Meshad, Prague, and two more Finnish cities. They appear to be slowly winning. Japan is taking out C.China but China proper is doing well, with over a dozen tanks. Japan has about 20 Yamatos, and are using them to crush anything that tries to enter their territory. My squadron that I sent all the way there from France was nearly wiped out; nothing left but subs and DDs.

It is pretty much stalemated in the Far East. UK is not free from African distractions so we'll have to see what they do now. I see some units are fighting in Persia. I have some offensive force built up and with the demise of Italy I am planning on using it a NE direction, but am not sure which city will go first. Probably Freiburg, but I want Innsbruck to anchor my north Italian front. Great terrain, but LONG front! I actually want to leave most of the Germans alive for now, they are a good buffer vs. the Soviets. I want to drive the Soviets back from their coastal conquests and am gathering Navy and marines for that purpose. Soviets U-Boats are not a good thing.

Turkey 2.2 on Monarch

Currently Week 29 1942:

Has been very boring most of the time, improvements and building some forces. I have noticed that research is bad for Turkey, unless I go to 90% or 100%, techs are max research. Not able to afford that rate so have run at 10% the whole time and built treasure and rushed things.

Highlights:

Did manage to take Thessaloniki and Athens from Greece in war with them.
Also manage to take and hold Baku and Gronzy from Russians, attacked them while they were at war with Axis.

Got Wines from Greece area and Oil from Russian cities, so don't have to trade for them anymore and have a surplus to trade to others of them.

Overall:

Germans have taken W Europe except for Spain and a couple russian cities.
Japan took China and then lost most to Britain.
Russians took a good chunk of Denmark, Fin, and Sweden areas and are now working on some of Germans holdings
Italy seems to be not a factor currently, only holding Italy now.


Not much action but always worried will get jumped by one of the big dogs wanting my territory.

I did decide to try Great Britain on Sid though, I dont expect it to go incredibly well. Should be fun though.

Looks good man. The USSR may give you game ending problems if war is declared soon. Really depends though, I've heard of them sending lots of forces into Finland, and I've seen them have extreme problems with Germany and barely send anything into Finland.

Oh, and if you would rather not use the term, "Japs". Just say Japan.

Instead of Japs take (Insert city name here), say Japan takes (Insert city name here).

Good luck with it though. Look forward tor eading more on it.
