Nice work Rocoteh on v1.7.
I still think the gameplay suffers somewhat due to offense/defense balance. Without any good defenders a human player can now conquer a lot of territory fast and may finish the game (or get tired of it) well before 1943. That way a lot of cool late-war units aren't going to be used and it is pitty ...
Besides my announced stats modifications i intend to take away all HP bonuses from marines while mantaining a good price (300-350). I think this is the main reason why the AI builds up on them. Without any good early tanks and considering hefty HP bonus the best offensive unit is calculated to be the marine and the AI will produce it regardless of shiled cost.
After all, there's no reason to give HP bonus to marines, they were not divisions. It would still be a tactical advantage in building marines (and their cousins jap SNLF's, british commandos and in my version US Rangers) for their special abilities (amphibious, airlift, airdrop, stealth).
