Between two powers:

1) Invincibility

2) Immortality

If you pick number one you are undestructable, but you will die from old age one day. With number two you can live forever, but you can be killed like any other human.

Hold on if your immortal you mean you can still die normally right, like falling off a cliff otherwise there the same thing only immortality means you live for ever too. You mean immortal like elves, rather than like Jesus.

I'd say immortality anyway.

"Who wants to live forever?" Freddie Mercury

Immortality, then I'll run around and fight to the death everyone else who chose it, crying out "there can be only ONE!" after each victory. It'll be a hobby, at least.

Until someone cuts your head off.

I dunno.... I get the sense that the OP meant you can be the big dog for a short period of time, or a small dog forever.

I'm inclined to be a small dog forever, myself.

Immortality is more appealing on first sight, but there is always the fine print to consider. Issues such as:

What kind of diet would be necessary? Would alcohol, sweets be allowed? Would i stop to age physically and mentally at some point? How much of the time would have to be spend sleeping? ...

And then there is the issue of death by household accidents. I can see myself avoiding being trapped in the microwave for a couple of decades, but forever?

Invincibility. It basically guarantees me a full, healthy life. Immortality sounds fun at first but when you think about it it isn't fun at all. All your friends and family will die plus it'd be pretty hard psychologically to live forever ("you live forever in Heaven", who the hell wants that?). There are also technical questions concerning the "immortality" option here that should be solved if you wanted really seriously ponder all the consequences.

I'd take the immortality option, assuming I didn't continue to age physically. Spending a few thousand years being elderly wouldn't be very appealing.

Invincibility seems to be rather an insurance option; odds are that it wouldn't affect how long you actually lived. Still, I guess if you knew you were invincible you could try a lot of things in life that you couldn't normally.

invincibility for me. Immortality is overrated. Everyone you love would die as your physical health gradually got worse you may not die but after a few hundred years I think your joints would become unusable, your senses wouldn't be in the best of affairs, your sexual libido would be gone, and your mental capacity would more than likely be quite diminished. with invincibility however you get good health and the ability to take any sort of grueling physical torment to your body and just bounce back like nothing happened. Besides who wants to live past ninety anyway?

Amen. That is my pick!

why? your joints are bad, your looks are bad, your mobility is bad, on the off chance that you can still have sex it will more than likely be with geriatric old women, and you'll have all those damn kids bragging about their 40 yodabyte super jesus Ipods.

Well... at least I can still post in the forum.

And I think my looks are already bad.
