Your Dream Voice Actor/Actress for Civ 7

In order of preference:
  1. Logan Cunningham (Narrator for Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre)
  2. Keith David (Commander Anderson in Mass Effect)
  3. Liam Neeson (Aslan in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe)
  4. James Earl Jones (Darth frickin' Vader!!!)
  5. George Newbern (Superman in Injustice)
  6. Patrick Stuart (Jean Luc Picard)
  7. Mark Hamill (The Joker in the Batman Arkham games)
  8. Morgan Freeman
#0. Adam West (Batman '66)
RIP :(

I saw a Cate Blanchett lying around somewhere, which is the only right decision.

Except it isn't, because Tilda Swinton, origin of all, exists.

I think it's time for a female narrator and Cate Blanchett did a great job in Lord of the Rings and I vote for her.

If going with a male (again), my vote goes to Anthony Hopkins.

Morgan Freeman or Gilbert Gottfried.

Avery Brooks
Jeffery Combs
Tony Todd
"I live to serve the Founders...of this civilization." :D (Also based on your list I think I've found a fellow DS9 fan. :goodjob:)

He's not a cool pick, but Tom Selleck's VO work is incredible, even when he's just plugging orange juice.

(also my one audio production professors from college. he was a pro.)

I like any of the following:

Anthony Hopkins, Patrick Stewart, Keith David, Morgan Freeman, James Earl-Jones, David Attenborough, Cate Blanchett, Judi Dench.

It would be preferable to have a British narrator, but maybe an American narrator would work with a little less twang.

I think most people would like to hear the grandfatherly tones of Morgan Freeman or Patrick Stewart, though they are expensive to hire. Patrick Stewart did end up doing the cutscene narration for the Sims Medieval somehow, though.

But I was thinking, what if they did an ensemble cast, like in Alpha Centauri, where the actors who played the faction leaders read the tech quotes, rotating thematically.

What if they brought back the idea of the advisors per Civ 2, and had 5-6 actors read the quotes? There'd be advisors for the military, science, trade, the foreign service, and culture. (How do you feel about Elvis? ;))

I'd recommend getting people with extraordinary, iconic voices.

Robbie Benson (King's Quest VI, Beauty and the Beast)
Katie McGrath (Merlin, Supergirl)
Sean Pertwee (Cadfael, Medieval Total War [1], Gotham)
Michael Dorn (Worf from Star Trek)
Jennifer Hale (KotOR, Baldur's Gate II, Mass Effect)
Keith David (Gargoyles, Civ5's trailer if I'm not mistaken)
Peter Renaday (Ninja Turtles, Dragon Age)
Kate Mulgrew (Voyager, Dragon Age)

Also Mass Effect (Captain/Counselor/Admiral Anderson). On which note, Raphael Sbarge has an incredibly iconic voice.

Is it bad that I can only think of video game characters I would personally love to hear, instead of celebrities like a normal/sane person? Morgan Freeman was the first person to come to mind, then poof, fictional characters on the brain.
