All kinds of punk and anything near to it: ska, rock, HC... My favourite band is NOFX. But I have also favourite songs from other genres.

I guess classical. There is hardly any music I like that isn't by John Williams.

Are you talking about the guitar player John Williams? I didn't know he writes anything (although he made a great version of a cavatina that was used in "the deer hunter")... Great player though. Cleanest guitar sound possible.

I can't vote.

I am an old man of the Beatles time (a little younger), and, as G-Man, has preferred a multiple choice and some 30 / 40 more options.

I was born in a house where was listened Tango , Classic and Jazz. I grew listening to Beatles, Stones (a little less) and Modern Tango (you SHOULD listen Piazzolla, something like the Gershwin of Buenos Aires).

And, of course: Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Frank Zappa, Janis Joplin (although the musicians that accompanied her were horrible), Crosby-Stills-Nash & Young, Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Queen, Santana, Genesis (especially with Peter Gabriel), Police, Iron Maiden.

I sang Beethoven, Brahms and Bach (I'm trying to sing somebody that doesn't begin with B, but I find difficult).

At the moment I listen Joe Satriani (I play the guitar in that style, believe it or not), Steve Vai, Dream Theater and Nine Inch Nails.

And I leave for the end to the (for me) bigger of all: Jethro Tull.

And surely forget hundreds.

A fellow experienced rocker! You listen Transatlantic? Highly recommended!

Redneck: I can't stand people who think Jethro Tull is a person.
Interviewer: Who is Jethro Tull.

No, I don't, but I go for Transatlantic. What kind of music they make?

About Jethro Tull, I don't know what they are playing now, but the official site is in: http://www.jethrotull.com/index.html

Yeah I have one of their songs Mr Jinx, it reminded me of the beastie boys first time i heard it

I like anything and everything, provided its well done of course :p.

No really I do :D

My preferred sort of music is from the 70s and 80s. Hard Rock, Arena Rock, Symphonic Rock and Folk Rock from the 70s, and Hair Metal, Hard Rock and (some) Electronic from the 80s. I'm also fond of Instrumental Rock and Classical.

Classical and jazz. That recent swing resurrection made my year.

What I mainly listen to now, are the tinny melodies from my toddler's electronic toys.

Several. But they're all off key. :D

Ribannah -
What! No instrumental! And where's the New Age button, huh?

instrumental can go into any category it musicly fits into. Usually classic, Jazz or Blues.

Symphonic and anthem/military classical. But I have a very wide taste, that's just what I listen most to.

Classical, 1920s-50s jazz, some rock/pop - Beatles, etc.

I like rock (U2, Queen etc.), punk (pop-punk: Offspring, Greenday, Blink 182 etc.) and techno (no names, just description: hard, minimalistic, noisy)

I like it live

"if it sounds good, it IS good."
Psychedelic, surf, jazz, hillbilly, rockabilly, punkabilly, blues, very old country, funk, BEETHOVEN, classic rock, grunge, hardcore, metal,

They all have very good points, and some pretty bad ones too.

if it sounds good, it is good.

Rock all the way. As long as it is played at the appropirate level ie LOUD!
