YuiNES 2- The Modern World

Hmm. Well depends on what your interested. Serbia and South Ossetia are open. You could take a political party in Russia if you really want that. Venezuela is open, and I'd like a player for that. Syria is open. Lots of good stuff.

Also, military costs have been reduced by 100%

I would like to play as Indonesia please, so long as I can keep up.

We wish to affirm our commitment to maintaining the current Austral-Indonesian Military Co-Operation Treaty.

Of course you may Sheep. And everyone, remember deadline is WEDNESDAY

As long as Indonesia respects the sovereignty of East Timor, the treaty shall stand. Australia and Indonesia have always been firm allies, and Australia sees no reason to cease these close diplomatic ties.

I would like Venezuela.

We are insulted that you would even think we would have designs on our newly-born neighbour after the clear rejection of the former status of the territory by the 1999 referendum of independence. However now that you have said this, it is clear that you may also have ulterior motives for drawing our attention back towards the Timorese, and thus would like to remind you that we remain vigilant across all our territories including Irian Jaya and West Timor, and thus would like to warn you to not interfere with Indonesian sovereignty.

Australia did not wish to insult Indonesia about the issue of East Timor. The land that comprises Indonesia has been part of Indonesia since its creation, and Indonesia has every right for it to remain that way. However, with continued attacks on military forces and Timorese citizens by pro-Indonesian militia, Australia has every right to ensure East Timors safety against any potentially hostile nations.

Just how old is your news? You are talking about events from 10 years ago, this being the year 2009. We remind you that Indonesia has every right to seek to protect its interests and we will not have Australia trying to inflame a crisis for its own malevolent purposes, given your country's antipathy towards Islamic peoples.

Australia would like to confirm that the US is still committed to the ANZUS treaty binding Australia and the US together. Our two nations have always been staunch allies, and it would be a travesty to see over half a century of good relations collapse.

Thank you ;)
However with Silver running Russia (into the ground) I'd rather be far away from there. Few potent nations left are UK, Argentina and Saudi Arabia. I think I will go with the Arabs.
Saudi Arabia for me then if its okay with you.

While you are at it you might change the name of Czech Republic.

With the President and Prime Minister of East Timor being targets of an assassination attempt in early 2008, Australia would say its information is not out of date.

As of this moment we are announcing the recall of our ambassador from Canberra due to the baseless accusations of the Australian government in diplomatic communications with Jakarta. The fact that they would seek to pin the blame for the 2008 assaination attempt of East Timorese President Jose Ramos Horta or Prime Minister Xuana Gusmao is distrubing and cannot go unnoticed.

The very fact that these attacks were perpertrated by the renegade East Timorese Army officer Alfredo Reinado, who was consquently shot dead by Presidential guards has seemingly been ignored and dismissed by the government in Canberra who reputedly has investigated it with Australian Federal Police, who came to the conclusion that is held by the Indonesian government.

This measure comes with the immediate suspension of the Austral-Indonesian Military Co-operation Pact.

If the Republic of Indonesia wishes to break over 60 years of good relations over something as trivial as the issue of Australia making sure that the sovereignty of East Timor is assured, then it shall be allowed to retract its ambassadors from Canberra in peace. Should Indonesia wish it, a plane shall be chartered to carry the ambassador back to Jakarta at Australia's expense.

ooc: You do realise Australia and Indonesia have huges amounts of mutual distrust in reality?

Rest assured we shall resume relations with the Commonwealth of AUstralia once it is apparent that Australia is apologetic for its recent insistence of Indonesian interference in East Timor and publicly acknowledges this.

By the way, Yui, I've been looking at US stats (being SA and everything) and I noticed there's no stat for debts. This gives some states unprecedented advantage. Will you implement it in any capacity?

ooc: Very aware. I am also aware of the amount of time and effort Australia has put into trying to smooth relations that are already bumpy with a very different nation.

Australia apologises for its actions over the matter of East Timor, and invites the Indonesian government to resume diplomatic ties with Australia. Australia hopes that Indonesia will still accept the remaining aid money in order to help the victims of the Boxing Day Tsunami, some of whom are still in poverty.

I and Symphony, and the african states are all aware of their debts, yes they are implemented.
