hello after a long unannounced absence from these forums which are generally called civfanatics but are also called CFC by some members for a reason unbeknownst to me i have come back to share another experience in the wondrous world of civ gaming with you.
i have since left the easiest difficulty level called settler and raised to the difficulty level of warlord which is held much more in esteem. however i still find my plans frequently sabotaged by the evil instances of artificial intelligence which inhabit the worlds of civilization.
my latest venture in the digital civilization simulator endowed me with the leader of mansa musa of the mali. i dont really like his traits since i prefer to work farms and workshops all the game rendering financial useless and i only switch civics once or twice a game so spiritual isnt a great boon either.
this game i had a great start with two plains cows and an abundance of plains hills plus a desert incense which insured i would have no lack of the commodities of production and commerce in the early game. i made an early beeline for divine right which allowed me to invite muhammad to my lands and found the religion of islam while simultaneously unlocking the wonders of the sistine chapel and versailles. i have been to versailles myself on a field trip with my school when i was 7 and i was truly impressed by the mirror room as we usually do not use mirrors in nova zembla. therefore it is extremely clear that i was very eager to build the wonder of versailles which also reduces maintenance associated with the distance to your palace.
i was the happy founder of islam and spread it around my magnifcent albeit atheist-paganist empire. however i soon discovered the other civilizations did not appreciate my choice completely ignoring the fact that the historic malinese empire was islamic too therefore making my choice logical and predictable. after some exploratory voyages deep into rival territory i found the source of the satanistic sects of judaism, christianity, confucianism, taoism, buddhism and hinduism. the ethiopian empire lay deep in the heart of the rival territory, surrounded by mountains.
i soon discovered that the vile ethiopians were great fans of the improvement farm, betraying their rural and unsophisticated nature. on top of that, zara yacob refused to open borders with the only sanctuary of the true faith islam because of religious differences. it became clear to me that zara yacob had embraced his six creeds, fully keeping to the letter of their books and refusing the possibility that islam is the true faith. despite several attempts to click the redded out open borders button to see if he would change his mind and allow the holy missionaries of islam to enter his territory, zara yacob continued to be very cool and annoyed in negiotations.
when a worldwide crusade was called on my so-called heathen realm i had made up my mind for good on zara yacob. behind the friendly and jovial appearance hides a mind so engulfed in fanaticism it makes the contemporary zealots like osama bin laden look like polar bears (as has been shown in previous studies by the nova zemblan scientist nuku alulofa, 98 % of polar bears denies the existence of a greater being, making them the most atheistic population on earth).
on top of that his deliberate use of the improvement called farm reveals a deeprooted desire to keep his people ignorant and backwards. the farmer is the backbone of society and has played an absolutely vital role in history, but over the centuries technological and sociological development has originated in cities, so a society purely based on agriculture practised in farms will enjoy little to no progress.
based on those two extremely negative personality traits i have attached a poll to the thread. if the number of votes against the existence of zara yacob in the game of civilization iteration four exceeds 1000 i will send a copy of this webpage to firaxis and request them to not include him in following iterations of the game of civilization anymore. i omitted the option to vote no since after reading this game report everyone will agree that zara yacob has to be removed from the game.
