Do you belive in the zodiac compatibilities? do you think the profile of each signs are true? do they match with the kind of person you are?

I never noticed before, but last week I went to the astronomic club where Im member and there we talked about the constelation of scorpio.
it was a very interesting speech and I really liked it but at the end one of the visitors asked about the difference between astrology and astronomy.
he brought a book with information of astrology and I read a bit. I was amazaed when I read the profile of my sign Scorpio!!!
It matched at least in a 90%
what do you think?

I'm a cancer....even though I dont believe in that crap.
How come that if I read my horoscope in one magazine one day and then read it in another magazine the same day it's not the same? How can people be so gullible?
But I believe more in Chineese Horoscope. I'm a snake.

Spec.

Ah, good old Lloyd Schumner Sr! The Onion is lucky in him.

I'm a capricorn, but zodiac horoscopes are all nonsense.

no,no,no.
you misunderstood me. :)
I know the newspaper and magazzines horoscopes are crap.
what I meant are the profiles. like the ways a certain zodiac sign are, not you day horoscope.

I don't take it seriously, but it does happen to surprise me sometimes, as it fits remarkably well on me.

I'm a libra. But not a beliver.

The profiles always fit. They are designed to fit to anybody. The desctriptions are exchangeable and cover a good deal of common sense, pratical psycho-myth and fuzzyness. Just the same mechanism as with Tarot Cards or I-Ging.

Just read the profile of another sign ... you'll wind up not knowing no more ´who you are. ;)

It's all nonsense, of course. I'm Taurus I believe, although I'm not sure.

Of far more importance is that I share my birthday with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. :yeah:

I'm an Aries (the Ram,) but I'm not really a believer. I can find aspects of myself in each sign.

Women I've met are often into it. It can be a handy way to get to know them better.

Aries, BTW, are supposed to be stubborn leader types. I'm certainly stubborn, but probably too introspective to be a great leader. Leaders must be decisive and I am not.

Forget the newspaper horoscope rubbish that is ridiculous and of no credit to the science of astrology. The zodiac sign are thought by some to have an effect on certain personality traits. It is said that those born in scorpion become better soldiers. Studies have been carried out (sorry can't provide a link, I read it from a book called Arachne the 13th Zodiac) on the effects of being born under different star signs. The little known Arachne or 13th zodiac is linked with physic abilities such as the Philippine doctors. If anyone shows enough interest I might just go and dig out the book to see if I can find some information on test studies, which could be found online. I think it is most interesting and not totally unproven crap. More credit is deserved for the scientific approaches to this study than has been awarded to it.

A great many people share birthdays with Queen Elizabeth II, seeing as she has at least three, and maybe more, of them. ("The Queen's birthday" is a holiday in several countries, and is celebrated on a different day in Australia than in Britain - and neither day is her actual birthday.)

Actually an interesting poll, if only because I've always wondered what the distribution of the population's birthdays through the year would be...

(How sagittarian of me, eh?)

Well my birthday falls on her real birthday.

I'm a Sagittarius, but I don't believe in astrology. (Interesting that that's the most popular sign here.)

I've never been one for Astrology. However, I have noticed that I get along better with certain signs, not so well with others. Kinda weird, ain't it?

BTW: It's Pisces, not Piscis.

I'm also a February Pisces, probably the rarest of all signs. Usually only eight days for one to happen. Not only am I one, but my sister in law is as well, (we're actually Bday twins), my son, and my uncle. So much for rarity!

 I as well (am cancer, don't go for astrology too strongly). However, I do notice that I do have some attributes of the crab. I agree though, daily horoscopes are based in reality about as much as the National Enquirer (its a ridiculous tabloid magazine about alien babies, etc.).

Chinese Astrology though? I believe in that even less. Everyone born in the same year is the same personality type? :hmm:

- Narz :king:

BTW, one interesting note, I have the same birthday (June 23rd) as Johannes Gutenberg (the inventor of the printing press). Am I destined too to become a great inventor? ;)
