Zombie NES Idea

@EQ but I want to be a zombie, half the fun of zombie games is figuring out how to kill people :p

This sounds like a good idea, but I think alot of people would want to be zombies instead of humans, eliminating the whole idea of cooperation. I'd say that you should just have a few players who don't really post anything in the thread and stay behind the scenes while controling hordes of zombies or perhaps important zombies.

Eating humans wouldn't make us any better than the zombies, though.
Beh. We'd eat someone for sustinance and they wouldn't come back. Zombies gorge on everything for the sake of eating, AND have whatever they kill come back as one of them.

The really question is what are we if we eat a zombie?

I want to be the zombie overlord :p

Active Bowels...? I don't care, I'll go naked, and be just as efficient as the next guy... Just crapping all over the place as I run. I'm bonified crazy, and will even throw said diarhea at dadgum zombies.

Two zombie overlords is better than one :p

I don't think the mechanics would work very well as a NES.

This sounds more like a Forum Game.

It sounds like it'd be more story-based than game-based. Complex games which have very specific rules, like Night of the Werewolves, are fine in Forum Games, even though there's a significant roleplaying aspect, but games like this (and like the one Splime is running right now, as well as Dreadnought's) belong here at least as much as they do there.

Also note that if you don't host something like this, EQ, I certainly will. I've been intending to do so for awhile once Pre-ChaNES is done.

Well I've worked out the mechanics, and I think that this would work rather well as an NES. I've also been looking for "cooperative" NES ideas for a while. Mostly because I believe that NESers can actually work together if they had to. This zombie style NES sounds like a fun way to try it out.

We don't need many for this, and it's relatively low work.

I want to live on as a zombie if i get bit...

A week in real time?? I don't think this would work. The GM's spouse would file for divorce... Also, what of us that don't have that kinda time? If no more than 2 people r online at once, what interaction will happen? i'd give it a go in suspended time, though.

I may be in

Exactly why I wish to join :p

Unrealistic premise (An NESing convention with me in it is unlikely) but joining.

I'd like to join, I've got a slight bone to pick with zombies at the moment.

Well I sense a renewal of interest in this idea. Probably, yes, realtime couldn't really be done. What of 1 hour game = 1 day outside time? If i moderated, I could do that in about a month. Any thoughts there?

But then, food thing really won't matter, won't it?

Just a lurker's comment, since I doubt I'd join: one hour to one day seems almost too much, since that means your intended week becomes 168 days... or half a year.
