Apologies if this sounds annoying, but is that strictly necessary? It might put me at a disadvantage, but I could use a clan backstory which justifies my not knowing anything that's going on.
In theory that could work, but you will impress us all more if you were to have an idea of what's going on before jumping in. Not to mention that it is an advantage. Lately there have been...issues...with players who NES without really knowing what they're doing.

The Fire Clan, being in command of the armies of Nesse, asks the Challoan why the seem to have taken command of the armies of Nesse. With all due respect, should the War Leader not be the ones directing the war effort against the enemy, not a clan whose basis in in politics?
