To Killer: I can't believe you're quitting, Killer. And I see Simwiz is in trouble too. My how times change. I never thought the day would come when you guys spat the dummy and gave Civ3 the big "heave ho". Is it just Civ3 burnout?
Well, I didn't last as long as you, I gave up about 2 months...
The unexpected formation of some new land or an island through vulcanism would be interesting for game play. Imagine the land-rush. It might even tip the balance of power in a finely balanced game.
Well thank you Matt, I'm flattered you even remember me! I realized I was spending more time here at CFC than actually playing the game, so I gave up Civ for a while and started playing The Sims. Man, I thought Civ3 was boring at times, but The Sims takes the cake for being utterly pointless...

So, I voted non-standard rules.
After playing Civ in one form or another for the past 10 years, and seeing Firaxis really milking the genre without adding very much that's new, I voted for Sims. But I admit it's not a fair comparison, I'm only new to The Sims and still trying to figure out what the point of it is, so I'm bound...
I guess the smart-ass answer to that question is: "11 September 2001"....
But yes, you're right, if taken literally, it does sound silly that a big city has to curtail its efforts on a building just to pump out a soldier.
However, in my opinion, Civ3 is a "big picture" game and is not...
Damn! I was looking forward to a good anti-religion thread.
Actually there is a guy who calls himself GOD who posts in this forum - perhaps we should ask Him what he thinks of all this?:o
p.s. What the hell is "Citizen lolaty"??
