How bout them Warriors?

Hey Dachs I know this is a simple history question but i was just curious. Who do you believe had a bigger impact on the modern world? The Babylonians or the Egyptians? i think the Egyptians had a bigger cultural impact but considering that the Babylonians created a Code of Laws, made the first calendar, made many advances in mathematics, and of course with the Sumerians (who I consider to be an ancestor of the Babylonians) I feel Babylon made far many contributions to the world then Egypt did. I find Egypt quite overrated. Definite media sensationalism from all the archelogical findings in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Gotta start somewhere. The main thing would seem to be getting people to use it as a bridge, rather than as a terminus.

Counterpoint on GGS: it's a pop-history book written for mass market consumption and as this past election demonstrated amply, racist jerks who probably buy into European genetic superiority are everywhere.

I had to read that book a few years ago and I didn't really like it either, but I couldn't really pont my finger on why. Is there any reason you didn't like it?
