1.52 Patch Available

I loathe you Exavier;).

As with the last patch, the update option in the game does not work for me.

Is there a manual download available? or will there be one soon?

thanks.

Just so you guys know there seems to have been a change to the Random Explosion of the Nuclear Reactor as well. Not listed in the patch notes. (I am trying to compare the patch to my mod and make changes)

<iNukeExplosionRand>1000</iNukeExplosionRand>

was changed to

<iNukeExplosionRand>2000</iNukeExplosionRand>

just thought i would let ppl know (not sure how this effects gameplay as i never played this this ability)

What a pleasant surprise!

I was gonna post this because I though i was the first to see it.

anyone have alternative links? the autoupdater is stalling at 4 megs on me

I'd just wait a bit... 1.09 wouldn't d/l for me the day it came out, next day was done in 5min... prob just server overload.

edit: and it's great to have a patch before Christmas : )

And here I've been playing along the last 4 hours not knowing a patch was out. I really wasted my time considering this new patch is going to screw some of my existing stuff up.

I like early Xmas gifts. :goodjob:

I spent 20 minutes when I found this thread looking for the patch. The 2kGames site is basically blank. At least it is for me. Didn't even know about that update screen in the game. Downloading it now.

Interesting. When I first tried updating, my personal firewall first claimed that the executable changed and asked me to confirm. That seemed odd, but I couldn't find a reasonable way in which this could be a hack, so I let it be. The game came back and said "no patches available". But when I tried a second time - after the supposed .exe change - it suddenly popped up with the new patch. Just weird.

It appears we don't have a seperate thread for undocumented changes? Seems like it's be much easier to locate them if they're all consolidated in one thread...

Anyways, here are the ones I've found:

  • Domestic advisor now has "Zoom to city" buttons
  • Hotkeys now work on the Science advisor screen
  • Military advisor now has a "Display individual units" option
  • Gold and Commerce now have seperate icons
  • Many words are now hotlinked to their Civlopedia entry

Well, that's good. Unfortunately, now I have to change the Domestic Advisor again to accommodate it :p.

Also, I KNEW the negative trade gold was a bug :D.

I think I'll wait until after I play the GotM before I patch.... which means that the Domestic and Foreign Advisors will have to wait for updates until after the new year.

Sorry, guys .

Req

The patch really looks good (at 25%) but you still haven't answered my question: Did you fix the Ai seeing all the resources or not Trip (or company)?
Sorry Condor, not my department. ;)

Oh, well at least that is a reply. Then who (I know Soren Johnson talked to us three about it on page 8)? And thanks.

You can make a copy of your current game dir, then patch.
You can then play 1.09 by running the exe in the copy you made, while the normal game dir runs 1.52
