120 ad

I think it would be a nice touch to make Rome a very powerful city state at permanent war with it's neighbours.

Reasons I won't do that.

1. Rome wasn't at permanent war with it's neighbores.

2. Why make it a ciy state? It would require coding, and
I only code when I'm making a full-fledged mod, not a scenario.

3. It's a blast to play rome, removing the feature to do so
would make the scenario rather dull for many.

No news for 120 AD ?

Well as I said, it's kind've in static.

Being as my 1500 AD scenario isn't working. (It won't even start loading, any help?)
I'll finish up last work on 800 AD. and Do an almost complete revamp of 120 AD.

Being as I've been on holiday I haven't had much time to work on it. But now that
I'm back I should have another version ready soon enough.

Very fun scenario Thor, I enjoy it a lot. Playing as Rome the game was too easy in my opinion, despite the huge deficit in gold and happiness. Spamming markets, trading for luxuries, disbanding excess soldiers, going into piety and putting trading posts everywhere solved that problem. Afterwards I felt that a 'Congrats, you won!' message should've appeared because the challenge was gone. The closest civ in power to me was China and they were friendly from the beginning and really too far to have any consequence. I realize Rome was the bee's knees in this time in history but can you add some difficulty to make this more entertaining please? I played on Emperor btw.

will you upload to the in-game downloader the new version ? also i have some ideas: romans had rebellions and civle wars. i think that only for the romans you should add rebellions. also the romans were destroyed by barbarians. so i think that you should give barbarians a 20% attack against romans. persia also was at war with the romans. i think that AI persia should attack rome.

Well I would, but I have no clue as to how I can. If someone would inform me,
or were to do it for me, I would have it uploaded.

Oh, and being as the current version is a complete revamp of the scenario I will
be working to make this one of my best scenarios as such, I need some help
for the fans of this scenario.

In 117 A.D. There were dozens and dozens of 'barbarian' groups in Germania Magna.

Since I can't include civs for each one, and this ISN'T a fall of rome scenario (though
I hope to make the Germanic tribes a serious threat this time so that when the
huns come around they really cause trouble.) I can only include civs for the following
groups:
Germanic, Balto-Slavic, Celtic, and Iranic.
So as devote followers of this scenario, should I include these as city states or as
civs?

you could ask how to upload in the forum. also i think that this groop should be civs.

I suggest, in my humble opinion, that theses groups should be city-states locked at war with the big civs of theirs regions...

I believe the Germanic tribes should be included as civs. They should have the potential in your scenario to take and hold Roman land at this period of history, offering a divergent path of history. It would be very fun indeed to control or fight a Roman empire at its height without Spain and/or Gaul. The Tribes would then be able to form alliances to fight the Romans (as happened in reality) or collapse by fighting each other. Many possibilities here which just aren't possible if you make them city states. I HAVE seen some scenarios make city states more robust however, the Napoleon scenario in particular.

Also this opens the option to play as the Huns, fighting a Roman empire strapped for cash and rushing to build non-military buildings, giving you an opportunity to hit and run before finally taking some cities.

Well I assure you all that I am taking your considerations to though, as of right
now I will probably include the tribes as Civs. These civs are as follows:

Balto-Slavs:Russia
Celtic: England
Germanic: Germany
Iranic: ????
Huns: Mongols

The mongols will be both the northern Xiongnu aswell as the Huns, even though
it is of debate whether or not the Huns were from the remains of the Xiongnu,
they still would be the best representative for them. In addition to that, were
china to take the only city they have and force a peace treaty (being as the
options are set to Complete Kill.) The Mongol forces would have no choice but
to head west, torwards the roman empire, thus simulating the Hunnic Invasions.

Well everyone, I would like to thank you all for your feedback and I am happy to
announce that I have completed the 120 AD scenario remake! All that is left is
to change afew things here and there, take afew screenshots, and it will be ready
for release!

Okay everyone I know I've been stalling abit, namely due to the fact that I've been
watching the three stooges in my spare time. But never fear, I shall soon be releasing
the 2 Version. I'd also like to inform you all that I am including not only Civ
representatives for barbarian groups, but also individual city states for the largest
Germanic Tribes! They are as follows:

Copenhagen:Angles, Saxons, Jutes
Warsaw: Vandals
Vienna: Suevi
Bucharest: Bastarnea, Roxali, Daci
Brussels: Chatti, Franks, etc.

And Germania shall represent the Goths, Visigoths, AND Ostrogoths.

The reason behind this is because I found that the romans could too easily conquer
individual german cities. To fix this and to add a more complex set of diplomatic ties
I added in these city states. I am adding these as city states rather then as civs mainly because this is a 120 AD scenario, NOT a fall of Rome. (though I may just make
one.) The second reason being that if Rome invades one, no issue, but if rome tries
to take ALL of the Germanic city states, then most of the surrounding civs might just
declare war on them. This would trigger a series of events that hopefully could lead
to the fall of rome. (though in no way would it be ANYTHING like the actual event.)

What are the civs ?

No DLC other than Mongols to have ?

Germany-Goths
England-Celts
Persia 2-Iranic Groups.

And the reason there is only one DLC civ (which happens to be free.)
is because this is one of my most famous scenarios I want every ciV player
to be able to use it.
