2006 CFC 7-Round NFL Mock Draft (Starts 2/4)

Commisioner Paul Tagliabue walks to the podium

" With the 9th pick of the first round the Detriot Lions select Eric Winston offensive tackle out of miami, Fla "

Chris Berman Hey Mel, looked like the Lions were a little confused there, Matt Millen started to turn his pick in, then was grabbed by his staff and started working the phones. While on the phone the Lions rushed their pick in behind his back. "

Mel kipper,Jr. "Theres a story here for sure, lets go to Lynn Swann at the Detriot war-room "

Lynn Swann " Thanks guys, I'm here with Matt millen, GM of the Lions, Matt a little confusion there? "

Matt Millen "No swanny, it's a plot to rob me of my greatness, I have personally built this team into what it is today, with my kneen football mind. I was going to take a WR again for the 4th straight year when my staff told me that Dwayne Jarrett wasn't even in the draft but stayed in school. I immediately called coach pete Carroll to protest when by staff snuck a pick to the commisioner while I was on the phone. "

Lynn Swann "There you go Chris. "

Reason Winston is rated # 2 OT behind Fergusion, Lions line sux's

Wow, a shocker, I thought they would take Santonio Holmes!!

Don't tempt Mr. Millen to trade up and get a WR for the 4th straight year.:mischief:

Commissioner Tagliabue: With the 10th pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select:

A.J. Hawk, LB, Ohio State

Talking head: After last year's 28th rushing defense, it looks like Green and the Cards are looking to shore up the middle of their front seven.

With the eleventh pick in the 2006 CFC draft, the St. Louis Rams select:

Vernon Davis, Tight End, University of Maryland

ESPN's Stuart Scott: "No surprise here as the Rams have had their eyes on Davis since before the Senior Bowl. He is what many consider the most physically gifted tight end in the draft, and the best to come out since the F'n Soldja."

Coach Lovie heard shown in the Bears War Room
Ahhh cripes....I really liked that Davis kid.

There is still DeAngelo Williams, LenDale White, Mathias Kiwanuka, Jonathan Scott, Santonio Holmes, etc. still on the board. Since I have the pick anyone interested in trading up?

Edit: I'm open to trade offers until 6:40ish pm

The Baltimore Ravens are interested in one of those players--but sense we have the next pick we can wait.

Oooorrrr you could pull a Butch Davis and Trade your second round pick to us to move up one spot:D

The San Diego Chargers are interested in trading their 1st Round pick and 3rd round pick for Cleveland's pick. (3rd would be in the formula wouldn't it?)

hmm, interesting offer. Let me look at it closer real quick

How about this, my 1st and 4th round picks, for San Diego's 1st and 2nd round picks?

Based upon draft pick value charts, that is about an even trade.

Holly's San Diego Chargers say done. The Chargers take WR Santonio Holmes.....from THE Ohio State University. Thought you'd like the Redfusion.

With the 12th pick in the draft the Cleveland Browns announce that they have traded their 1st and 4th round picks to the San Diego Chargers for their 1st and 2nd round picks.

Round 1.Pick 12

With the 12th pick in the draft, the San Diego Chargers selct:

Santonio Holmes - Wide Reciever - The Ohio State University

(And Whomp: I love it)

The Baltimore Ravens with 13th pick of the first round select: Lendale White RB from USC

Reason: Kyle Boller came alive at the end of the season but the running game was a joke as Jamel Lewis wasn't half the back he was before prison

As the clock ticks down on the Eagles, Let's go to Mel Kiper and see who he has rated as the best available

Mel Kiper: Here's the way I see the top 10 players remaining on the board are
1. DeAngelo Williams
2. Tamba Hali
3. Chad Greenway
4. Laurence Maroney
5. Ernie Sims
6. Leonard Pope
7. Winston Justice
8. Ashton Youboty
9. Tye Hill
10. DeMeco Ryans

Well, the deadline has hit for the Eagles, and we know El Justo does want to participate. So I'll put it too a vote, shall we have the Eagles pick or shall we wait until El Justo posts his pick?
