2006 CFC 7-Round NFL Mock Draft (Starts 2/4)

With the 46th pick, the St. Louis Rams select:

Antonio Cromartie - Cornerback - Florida State University

Reason: Rated by many as the top corner available and St. Louis needs a ton of help on that side of the ball.

Why are we stalled? Isn't there a deadline?

Since it's the middle of the week, there isn't a set deadline. It's been flowing pretty good so far and Malba, whom is up next, has been reliable. It's just a slight lull in the action.

Okay then. I can wait. I just didn't want to see my turn fly by. ;)

If you are ever worried about missing your turn, you can always post or pm me your top 3 or so when your pick gets near. But don't worry, we won't skip you this round.

Sorry I took a long time to post, I was very busier than usual today and didn't have time to check my messages. Back to the draft...

With the 47th pick of the 2006 CFC draft the Atlanta Falcons select:

Pat Watkins - FS - Florida State University

Reason: Atlanta Safeties are whacko.

Pawpaw pmed the Vikings pick, so here it is:

With the 48th pick in the CFC draft, the Minnesota Vikings select:\

Taitusi Lutui--Guard--USC

With the 49th pick in the CFC draft, the Cowboys select:

Jason Allen- Tennessee- Free Safety

Note: I'm surprised to see him not taken (unless I made a mistake).

With the 50th pick in the CFC draft the Cleveland Browns select:

gwatson.jpg

Gabe Watson - Nose Tackle - University of that school up north

He's tailor made for the nose tackle position in the 3-4 with the ability to both stuff the run and collapse the pocket.

...i kinda regret not taking watson. I couldnt bring myself to pick a guy from UM...

I've heard that he has some attitude/consistency problems, so it might've been good on your part.

He's known to take some plays off, but Crennel can light a fire under the big guy

Trying to work out the next picks for the Broncos & Steelers at the moment. And work out the appropriate cliches for the steelers to defend criticism of their first pick. "Best available player", "lots of upside", etc. We think Kiwi can easily put 30 pounds on to be more effective as a DE in our system, and until he does he has the ability to be a OLB who puts his hand down occasionally.

And as for the next pick not owned by anyone, the patriots should take D'Qwell Jackson at ILB, for the same reasons mentioned for their first pick.

Well technically the patriots are owned by Ginger Ale, and the Dolphins are owned by Dreadnought. Both of whom didn't make thier picks in the first round. So, if we want to start going on (Dolphins are up), we can.

Oh yeah, and the Redskins aren't owned by anyone. The person who signed up for them hasn't posted since that day...

Hmm, have to think then.

Dolphins: QB? Brodie Croyle of Alabama? They need a QB, can't think of too many on the market, unless they can do a deal for Rivers.
Pats: D'Qwell Jackson, ILB
Redskins: Partner for Santana Moss maybe? Stovall from Notre Dame is a big guy to go with the small & quick Moss.

I'm about to go to bed, I'll post my pick/preferences for my pick in 12 hours or so.

It's time to get this draft moving again, so here we go:

With the 51st pick the Miami Dolphins select:

Brodie Croyle - Quarterback - University of Alabama

With the 52nd pick, the New England Patriots select:

Sinorice Moss - Wide Reciever - University of Miami

With the 53rd pick, the Washington Redskins select:

Leonard Pope - Tight End - University of Georgia
--A partner for moss, well almost...He'll at least take some of the pressure off in the red zone, and he's a steal at this point in the draft.
