You should offer a realistic solution, though.
If you mean that repealing the 2nd Amendment is unrealistic, yes, I agree. I think there's zero chance that will ever happen. If you mean I should offer ideas for laws that would replace the 2nd, I think we already have many of those, and the 2nd is an impediment to them. For example, this past July, in Wrenn v. District of Columbia, the D.C. Circuit struck down the city's "good reason" code on concealed-carry in public on 2nd Amendment grounds. That code was itself an attempt to abide by District of Columbia v. Heller, which struck down the city's ban on handguns. So we can see that even a law intended to be some kind of compromise isn't enough. The 2nd Amendment simply doesn't allow for any restrictions, sensible or compromise or otherwise. If I were an originalist or a textualist (I'm not, I think those are brain-dead principles of jurisprudence), I would argue that restrictions on private ownership of military hardware and restrictions against people with demonstrable mental illnesses owning guns are un-Constitutional. Restrictions against convicted felons owning guns might be too, but I'd have to look more closely at that.

8 killed, latest report

26 more dead in Texas. I guess they don't have enough guns there for everyone to be safe.

Its called Freedomizing when white people do it !

Shooting people will soon be "speech" and open to all.

looks like the guy targeted the church because in-laws attended it (not that day though)

What source do you have for that? I haven't seen that yet. IF so that sounds like a good motive to me.

In this case, at the very least, there was enough to prevent the killer from continuing on to other targets. Seems like the he was prepared for a whole day of mayhem.

Yeah, I'm torn on that aspect. Them having guns probably saved some lives, but him having one in the first place was the only thing that made it necessary.

They said he hated his mother-in-law, so it's possible after he missed her at the church he was going out to try and find her?

Compared to the Vegas killer, there seems to have been a lot of red flags and shoulda woulda couldas leading up to this going back long before he picked up a weapon.

Apparently the federal background check bureaucracy failed and he was cleared to take possession of the guns he purchased.
