2nd UU and 2nd UB for DoC

I have made a new unit model for the doppelsoldner , it will be my honor if you can use it in your 2nd UU mod.:D

I will compare it with the old one and choose the one I like most.

Ironically, after a few months of silence, I restart to work on this modcomp on the background. I wanted to bump this thread this day, but you did it for me. I found a way to make all XML modular and with the removal of the embassies, the modcomp might be even SVN compatible.

Does someone has a good suggestion for the 2nd Canadian UU?

If you prefer the body texture of the old doppelsoldner model, I can easily make one with the old body texture and the new sword.

That would be a good new, a widely compatible version will definitely make this mod more popular.

Maybe some kinds of paratrooper or (mordern)infantry, to represent the canadian army during WW2?

New version is up. Grab it from the usual place. (SVN 924 and newer only)

Unlike previous versions, the modcomp now includes both modcomps at the same time.

Updates:
- All XML is modular. So it will merge easily with the main mod updates.
- All buildings and units updated to match the main counterparts. (Courthouse replacements provide a statesman slot instead of the previous spy slot)
- UU and UB for the new civs. (Canada and Polynesia)
- Some UU and UB have changed bonus.
- Other updates I can't remember

About second Roman UB. I think Rome now is simply too military focused, how about UB barracks UB would be already in game existing aqueduct? Only Romans built that can of buildings, strecthing long distances. I should have some other benefits and vanilla aqueduct should be something else. But it would fit much better in game if only Romans would able to build that kind of building.

Yesterday I have play with the latest 2UUB as Spain, the tercio is very useful with Conquistador and bombarb with city raider III, and the UB bullring also very good.

And could you upload the excel files in #2 to sourceforge? I couldn't open the Google Docs.

I don't thinks so. Just 1 UB doesn't make them too militaristic IMO. I even think their military is underrepresented. The army was of massive importance to Rome. There isn't much that represent that in DoC. (Only the Legion UU, but that doesn't cover it all IMO)

I don't want to change the current building system. I don't mind changing the art and name of a basic building so it can be used for a UB. But the building itself and it's bonus will stay in the game.

Legion already is OP. It has 6 str and +25% axemen, giving free combat I it would make Rome very easy civ.

2UB could be something non-military.

I have actually considered making the Aqueduct the Roman UB for a more generic Bath building. Something like an additional 10% food conserved on city growth would be appropriate and already very powerful.

Most part of the 2nd UBs are unavailable with VD to me.

EDIT I think it's because I left VD CIV4CityLSystem.xml instead of the original SVN updated one, so it's a problem of mine.

The only thing I'd say to that is the ancient nation most well known for their baths are... well, you know. How about well as the generic buliding?
Well, the Romans are kind of the only ancient civ well known for most things in the ancient world.
