Seriously, forget "Jersey Shore" and "the Sopranos". Go visit and get off the Turnpike. You'll be surprised. Northwest is rolling, forested hills and horse farms. Beaches in the south of the state are awesome. Best damn tomatoes east of the Rockies. You're no more than an hour away from NY and Philly. Four actual seasons, none of which is particularly intolerable. Yeah, the property taxes are crazy and the politicians are corrupt, but you're going to complain about that wherever you go, right?
