A Babylon 5 Mod for the Final Frontier Mod

The ships are looking amazing. Is B5 playable yet? I'd like to see what good ideas I could find in it to use in The Peacekeeper Wars.
 
And talking about ships...

I would have show you this one a few days back, but while making the model Blender crashed and, literally, half the ship was lost :(, but at last, here it is.

The G'Quan uses the FF Cruiser animations, and has 892 polys.

I'm really struggling with incorporating the ships into a playable game. I added in all the ships you released in the ship pack (following your instructions via PM) but then the game wouldn't load. Had a lot of RL stuff to do but will have another look this afternoon.

Just to announce a little change in the 2nd Ship pack,... I was about to start working on the Sharlin, but I decided to switch to the Tinashi Frigate, its a little less complex, and experience with the Tinashi will be good for the Sharlin,... and talking about the Tinashi:

It has 1025 polys and uses the FF Cruiser animation.

That's a beautiful ship model, can't wait for that to be releaesed.
I expect the second ship pack to be released soon, at worst the next weekend, at best,... on monday.
Next friday is a holiday here in my country (but the senate decided to do the celebration on monday :confused:, so I'll have some spare time this weekend :)).

Patiente, for what I see, you have some minor, but nonetheless frustrating errors :badcomp:, were both a little rusty on mod making - after all the mod came to a halt for a few months -, its just a matter of time.;)

The Minbari Sharlin class cruiser has 1261 polys and uses the FF Battleship animations, as the other Minbari vessels, it has no engine glow/thrust.

This ship has been the hardest since the Hyperion came out.

I have decided not to proceed with the Earth Alliance Avenger Class Carrier, because that one is an older model not currently in use by the Alliance... wich means...

How are we going to proceed with the ships in the tech tree?, lets take the EA as an example... wich ship should be the first the EA has access to?, should it be the Olympus?, are we going to follow the FF standard and make Delta and Omega versions of the ships?, and if not, are we going to have three tiers of ships?, in B5 terms, the ships shown in the series are like the mid-tier (Tier 2) ships, ... what about older (Tier 1) or future (Tier 3) ships?.

In the mean time I'm going to stick with the Tier 2 ships.

Animation: Custom B5 FF Destroyer

I have no idea how did I managed to make it so it has more polys than the Sharlin, but its within the 1500 poly range :p.

Ok, next: Drakh fighter, I expect that one to be quickly done, so I still believe that the 2nd ship pack can be released today.

Also, later in the day (hopefully) I'll place an attachment here with the Hyperspace (3.19) stuff.

Nop, I'm not out of ship designs, however that ships looks good, post links to that ship's pictures please, but I make no promises (there is a lot of B5 ships yet to do).

Here is the code for the Hyperspace, the rar includes my python file (should work with you, but you can/should compare it with notepad++ or some other tool.
Also, Jump related buttons and a ".inf" file, you can open it with notepad or notepad++ or any text editor, I recomend using notepad++.

The .inf file has example XML to get everything ready, from defining the jump point improvement to making a ship jump capable.

Hopefully the XML will speak for itself.

All ships are now in and the mod is still working. All i have to do now is start putting back in all the other XML stuff i changed/edited/added since the last release. This will be a slow and painstaking process as i'll have to do it a little bit at a time and keep reloading and testing the module loads and starts ok after each change. As i'm now doing a course to try and get me back into work this will be a slow process.

I gave it a try to animation (for the Omega), ... I was totally unsuccessfull :(, however, from what I learned I'm starting to believe that the Omega animation (if ever done) will not play all the time,... I'm not sure of anything regarding animation as of now.

So, I decided to get back into making "static" models, so here it is the Narn Bin'Tak Dreadnought:

It has 1112 polys and uses the FF Cruiser Animation.

I'm not sure which ships will make it to the 3rd pack, however here are some candidates:
EA Warlock Class
EA Omega Class (no animation)
Centauri Octurian
Centauri Dargan

I think I'll focus on the major powers (EA, Narn, Centauri, Minbari) ships before moving into the smaller race's ones.

Hello everyone!

This time I present you the last of the planned (by me) Tier 1 pirates, the Raider Carrier:

This are actually three models in a single NIF, the carrier and two fighters, all three made up for 1178 polys, and uses the modified invasion ship animation (new version), only the fighters errr fight, the carrier just lies there.

And talking about pirates here are my thoughts on them:
Tier 1 pirates:
- Raider Fighters (but handled like the PDS, not like fighters)
- Raider Carrier
Tier 2 pirates:
- Streib Ship (the one that kidnapps Sheridan)
- Epsilon 3 claimers (don't know their name, these are the ones that claimed ownership of epsilon 3, the boxy ship that split itselft in two to fight B5 and the Hyperion).
Tier 3 pirates:
- Drakh Raider
- Drakh Cruiser

What do you think?
