Jason The King
Deity
In a public address to a gathering in Robert E. Lee Square in Richmond, King Henry II hopes to reinvigorate the Virginian populace with a sense of duty and purpose for the Great North American War. His voice will be broadcasted via radio to all parts of North America, and indeed much of the world, as will footage of the event in Picture Rooms across the country.
“Citizens of the Empire, today we celebrate the victory of our Nation over our enemies, the power of our People, and the strength of our Resolve. For five years, the Empire has been pitted in a war against those who wish to supplant Virginia’s rightful place, destroy her interests, and occupy her allies. And for five years, Virginians have fought back with a sense of responsibility for the people of North America, indeed for the people of Virginia, that has all but shattered the hopes of her enemies. And we are winning!”
The crowd gathered in the square erupted in applause and cheer. As the crowd began to settle down, a small breeze ruffled the flags and banners of the Virginian flags strewn about the historic plaza.
“Just four years ago, Virginian soldiers liberated western Canada from the socialist scourge. Three years ago the Communists threatened Kentucky and Ohio, occupied Louisiana and Texas, and pressed their advantage in Nicaragua until our Army pushed them back. Two years ago, Louisiana, and then Texas, was freed from claws of the communist beast. And finally, we celebrated the greatest victory yet not more than one year ago: the destruction of the Klannist state of Georgia.” Again the crowd cheered.
“Citizens of Virginia, our Empire is on the verge of complete victory, complete security, and complete prosperity like we have never experienced before. The greatest threat to the future of Virginia has been destroyed by our Army, the communists are on the run, and our allies are willing and strong. But our work is not yet done. We have a responsibility to all North Americans, and indeed to ourselves, to win the peace. I say to you do not waver on your contempt for the Communists. A dictatorship of the proletariat is no less a dictatorship than any other sort. For the Might of Virginia!”
The King, still looking young and vibrant at a ripe age of 67, descended from the podium. Replacing him was the Chancellor and a retinue of legislators who began spouting calls for war bonds and rationing, but the crowd already began to dissipate.
EDIT:
To Pennsylvania
From Virginia
Virginia recognizes the new Pennsylvania regime, and hopes to continue our friendship. It wasn't long ago that a socialist Pennsylvania was an ally and good friend of Virginia's. We hope to continue our friendship and mutual prosperity together.
