A guide to Space and the Future

If my count is correct, I added 2 techs in the Information Era, 1 in the Nanotech Era, 2 in the Transhuman Era, 33 in the Galactic Era, 48 in the Cosmic Era, and 46 in the Transcendent Era, for a total of 132.

Thank you for the break down. :) Much appreciated.

I only scanned over it, and everything looks correctly going off my memory of how it is set up.

Is it normal being at renaissance at 1700s?
I dont want that. :(

The whole period of roughly 300 years (~AD 1450-1750) is called the Renaissance. Not quite accurate historically, but that's what we have.

Yes - Industrial era starts somewhere in 18th century.

But is it accurate if i REACH renaissance at year 1700?
I actually reached medieval at 1200 AD

Nah, what are you settings? Probably you choose too high difficulty resulting in excessively slowed research, when compared to calendar dates.
My map is actually something between Large and Huge - I artificially set it to Gigantic modifier to slow down research speed.

You are way late you should reach Renaissance at 1450 year.

Depends. More details about your game is necessary to give a better answer. Game speed, difficulty level, map size, number of AI, Options used, etc..

And what do you mean by "accurate"?

I'm playing raxo's map that is set on gigantic.
I play on normal speed, but it seems that normal speed is too much for gigantic. The tech rate is painfully slow.

There is no AI in the WB.

And by accurate i mean the right time to reach the era (4000BC for ancient, 1500-1000BC for classical, 450 for Medieval...)

EDIT: i'm currently playing on epic speed the map and it seems that my tech rate is more accurate now. reached ancient era at 4500BC, rather than 3000BC

EDIT 2: The difficulty is Noble since... there's no need to up the difficulty. There is no Ai on Raxo's map

What is your difficulty level?

Edit: Difficulty affect research speed among other things.

The Modern Era (which I prefer to call the Atomic Era and I think will be renamed eventually) is where the space age begins. The era runs from about 1914 to 1989, World War I to the end of the Cold War. The Space Age formally begins when you research Satellites.
Shouldn't be it Advanced Rocketry (X=81)?
Here you can build NASA, rocket fuel refinery and Sputnik WW.
It is space equivalent of Nomadic Lifestyle (X=1).
Space age begins essentially in middle of tech tree, as there are 160 columns.

Space version of Tribalism would be cislunar colony.
Sedentary lifestyle - moon colony.

You really do get bored easily don't you raxo!

Maybe. Once you get the Satellite unit, that's the first time you can put anything away from Earth terrain.

Yeah, you sure have been having fun with this. I'm glad. Knowing that other people are enjoying my work makes it worthwhile.

Building infrastructure is important too - Alpha Male is first thing I build on game start :p

I am using the three planets map and I am well past the satellite technology.

I can't access space colonisation, I read that there should be a sputnik ww but it's not there. No option for the lunar rover to do anything.

Any clues to get it working? This is custom game with default settings.

I'm not sure if anything has been changed since I have been able to work on it, so someone jump in if my information is wrong. Did you build the NASA National Wonder? That gives a free Launch Site in all cities, which is needed to build Sputnik.
