A moment for Strider

About 2 and a half hours ago, Strider, a member of the forums was in a critical accident. He is badly injured and doctors say that he might not make it. You may not know who he is, but please take a moment to reflect or say a prayer for him. Thank you. If you want to know more go to the chat room.

I hope he's OK. I didn't know much of him bc he didn't venture in here too much but naturally I hope he turns out alright.

Ouch. That is terrible. I've never had much time with BlueStrider, but I have been him in Model Parliament and on IRC. He is certainly valuable to this community and I hope that he is back and posting sometime in the near future.

I assume you know BlueStrider somehow in real life?

Strider's (BlueStrider) girlfriend is in the chatroom using his nick to give us updates on his condition.

Ummm, actually no, I just found out about him now. I made this thread as a request from his girlfriend.

No actually, I got on (I'm his girlfriend by the way) and told them in the chat. I knew he spent some time on here.... and I figured that some of you guys might want to know. If anybody wants, I can keep you updated on his condition.... not like I'm going to beable to sleep anyway.

It doesn't sound so good for him, but nevertheless, there is always a chance, always.

These events always show that life is more then most of us take it for. It really shows what is most important...Sadly, it has to come like this.

I had no idea who you're talking about until Chieftess mentioned it's another name for Strider. Is BlueStrider what he uses in the chatroom?

But more importantly, I hope he gets better.

EDIT: Yes, Strider uses BlueStrider in the chatroom (Someone took Strider on another chatroom, so he used Blue, and sometimes Red).

I kinda rushed it, so I got the name wrong. I really hope that he gets better.

I tried to see him, but he was in the emergency room. Got into a fight with one of his friends, finally agreed to go back to his house. Which is why I got on here, I had to take my mind off of everything.

Anyway, the latest I got was that it didn't look like he was going to make it. He's been bleeding out the ear, had a rib puncture his lungs, got a piece of glass in his eye, and they may have to amputate his left arm.

Holy crap, that's terrible. Well, I hope the doctor was wrong and that he recovers. And of course my heart goes out to you and all others related to Strider.
