That's part of the reason why I originally liked Community Patch and Overhaul Project. Has Community, Patch, and Overhaul, thus it captures exactly what the project does without sounding pretentious. Also it's one vowel switch away from helping with asthma (CPAP).

Not really, Communitas was the change made to GEM which in turn was VEM.
People get on board really quickly with these things, all that ultimately matters is the mods get installed and the forum remains intact. Both of those things won't be adversely affected.
Overhaul is better than "patch", yes, but I feel the full name is still too "technical" and verbose. It's hard to assimilate words that don't have any strong thematic information in them, and "com-mu-ni-ty-ba-lan-ce-o-ver-haul" takes a while to say.

Lots of fine discussion here, everyone. I've come to two conclusions based on this discussion:
1.) The new title should not deviate far from the existing title, for the sake of clarity.
2.) It should not be too obscure.
As such, I think the safest options are as follows:
Rename the Community Patch Project as the Community Patch and Overhaul Project.
Components:
- Community Patch stays the same.
- Community Balance Patch becomes the Community Balance Overhaul
Descriptive, similar enough to existing names, and avoids the existing issue surrounding the CBP including the word 'patch.'

can we please call it "Balance of Power"?
keeps the acronym, integrates the balancing aspect, easy to remember.

What I'm worrying about with Balance of Power, is that it is too close to the other civ modpack called Community Call to Power and also the JFD modpack Rise to Power.
I mean if we are going full Expansion on this there are plenty of cool-sounding words we can use, especially if we don't care about them properly describing the project.
Also if the project is going to be disconnected from the name of the modpack, I really do think there is more merit to keeping the CPP name for that.
