AbNESIV: The Rood and the Dragon

To Fidach:

A message from Sigurd, subjugator of the Romans:

Ally with us, and together we will mercilessly destroy our blood enemies! I require a small tributary fee of 50 GTDs, which would greatly benefit us and strengthen our military bond. Together, our enemies, be they Celtic or Teutonic, will fall!

Give us an answer! You are either with us or aganist us!!!

Join with what? 80 Milita, 2 Prince, hahaha! They'll lose before they start.

You'd be suprised, if the 'Scottish' nations were that weak northumberland (and its predecesors) would have rolled over them to begin with, but they didn't. so...?

To Lothian
From Bernicia

Surrender before our might and your nation may yet live on as a shell of its former self. If you do not we will crush you on the battlefield! And once we are done with your armies we will conquer your nation and remove your family line from creation!

Abbaddon I would enjoy a response from Ebrach (sp) when you are able.

*The Bernicia horse returns dragging a headless messanger* ((ie Gladiator))

@Abaddon, if my people cannot afford slaves, and my nobles aren't pleased by having them either, what is the use of slave markets? (Having spent over 200 GTD on them, I'd like to know what practical use they're having...)

My King understands wholeheartedly. He has also noticed you are expanding your borders.. he wishes that this may not bring future conflict between our nations, considering the amount of land which lies so near our kingdoms that is still for the taking.

We will leave you the land to the south of where we are expanding if you wish. We also wish to avoid any conflict between our two nations.

Brcheiniog has shown its true colors. It is a threat to our security and stability. Its leaders are not true Christians, nor are they to be considered Welshmen. This threat must be eliminated, and it must be eliminated now. Will you join us in this endeavor?

From: Buellt

It appears that even though Brcheiniog lies below our borders, we had failed to notice that an invasion had already taken place. Peace was the only thing on my King's mind.. sadly, this is not the case. Buellt will join you in destroying this threacherous swine of a nation, with the hopes that it shall bring us closer together in the event. May the quick end of this war spill less blood between our brothers.

Retreat from your attack! This foolish move against our friends outrageous King Llywelyn. We come with a warning; either you decide to retreat your men and prepare to accept terms, or you risk an joint invasion not only by Dyfed, Ceredigion, AND Buellt, but possibly by the other Welsh nations at your borders. It will be a crushing defeat, and you will suffer greatly.

The choice is yours.

King Llywelyn brings words of thanks, knowing now that you are indeed looking to preserve the peace of our nations. May your endeavours bring wealth and honor to your people.

@ Abaddon

I think it is ok to have 5 Princes (Captains). A good number to expand. Good number of Commanders to have different roles. I see them like Generals since only two of them are direct blood line to the King. They are Carnwalis and Cadwallon II.

Then, two Nephews, Horthgar and Ruthiar.

Then, a cousin, Horsa Woodshield.

Well, any problem with that?
Also, I will have more soldiers per commander so that is not to worry.

Tell me why that might confuse the cooks?

Too many cooks spoil the broth. When you raise a general to the status of Prince or Atheling, they are in line for the throne. If you have too many, the ones lower down the food chain will not be happy.

For example, if you were 5th in line to the throne.. you would work to reduce that!

3 is a good number. Lower and you risk your nation being wiped out, higher and there will be divisions.

You can have as many commanders/generals as you like, but Princes/Atheling's must be maintained sensibly.

Well, there will be a lot of bloody wars for me (I am on the front line of Christian/Pagan border) so Ruthiar, nice knowing you, but trust me, 20 is too young. Come back when our army is scores of hundreds.

@Abaddon
What about the slave markets? What can they be used for?

They increased your pGTD.

Then your pGTD decreased as you lost land
