The whole of Lothian had prepared for the war with the treacherous barbarians to their south. They had attacked Lothian unprovoked. The men of those nations had no honor no reverence for war. and as such they would be punished by death.
King Loth had sent his son, William to the southern defenses to look over the soldiers. Many had bee called up from the surrounding countryside to defend their beloved home land. The soldiers that were on guard looked over the battlefield from their defensive positions south of the southernmost shires of Lothian.
From behind the defenses sheltered from the town the campfires of the soldiers created long columns that hung ominously over the city. It was apparent that Lothian and Prince William were prepared for an epic battle against their invaders.
