Absences

I will be leaving in 4 hours to go snowboarding and will not get back until Sunday February 9th. Also, I will be traveling to Washington DC fom Sunday February 16th to Friday February 21st. For the second period of absences, I will select a Judge Advocate pro-tem to serve until I get back. Anyone interested please PM me. The deadline is Monday February 10th at 00:00 GMT. I will not need a JA pro-tem for this weekend as I will only be gone for one full day.

I am back and I have not gotten a single application. In addition to PMing me, you may now post here if you are interested.

In the event no one else applies for the position, I will volunteer. There are no rules that would prevent me to serve as Public Defender and Judge Advocate Pro-Tem. Of course, if anyone objects or steps up, I will withdraw this application.

Remember, naervod, even if you do leave, the Chief Justice would be officially tasked with carrying out the duties of your office.

I think it's better if there are three different people making up the judicial triumvirate. I have every confidence that Octavian would do a fine job but having him in two spots means there are only two judicial opinions instead of three. I will volunteer to be the JA pro-tem when needed.

I withdraw my offer of being the JA pro-tem. Due to the current PI storm the position is unattractive and physically impossible for me to perform in the time I have available for the demogame.

It looks like FortyJ will have to handle the JA position himself. This week unless Octavian wants to do it and can say so in the next fifteen minutes.

Also, a reminder, I am leaving tomorrow morning at 4:00AM PST (not fun) so will have no time in the morning. With that said, I bid adieu for a week.

Sorry, naervod. Being Public Defender, I can't take an active role in the duties of Judge Advocate without being see as biased. Had the current situation not arisen, I would have been more than happy to volunteer.

Hmmm... hate to complicate things, but I will be out of town, and quite likely, away from a keyboard from the 20th to the 22nd or 23rd.

I therefore will need to solicit volunteers to serve as Pro-tem Chief Justice during that time and, due to Naervod's absence, Pro-tem Judge Advocate as well.

I hope that the logistics of the ongoing Public Investigations are done before I leave, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

There is a big storm in the DC area so my flight got pushed back a day. I am still coming home on Saturday.

I can't be CJ pro-tem as I would miss the 20th and 21st. However, if the storm in DC gets worse or even stays the same, I will be available to do the job.

Again, I will throw in my offer to volunteer. I think the PI storm is calming down now, and will likely be over by the time
FortyJ leaves.

Also, again, I will withdraw this offer if someone else volunteers, or if some citizens have strong objections to me serving in these additional capacities.

Unfortunately I missed out on the Term1 Nominations and Voting for elected officials, so I am not too pleased but I'll live with it.
