Achievement save files for Civ VI

For Vesuvius, use the True Start Location map Europe, Renaissance start, disaster intensity 4. Should get it in a few minutes.

For peacekeeper I just did a hotseat 3 player game, captured a city with one player then triggered an emergency with Canada and the other player. No AI needed.

Now have the full 50 (took 40 hours, no save files). No completely broken achievements this time (well except Canada). Only achievement I wasn't able to get without assistance was Danse Macabre - I don't have many hours to learn one scenario. Did some .txt file changes to make the scenario easier.

Finally got Peacekeeper. Initiating an aid emergency targeting myself after Vesuvius erupted for the umpteenth time. Canada only got 3rd place, but it was enough to complete the emergency. So for those who still need it, that's one way. Now I can stop putting Canada in the game, I'm getting sick of him. :)

Not sure it's worth settling next to Vesuvius, Even at 3 tiles away I'm losing population. It just erupted yet again. Funny, in my Rome game it took forever to erupt and I had to play most of the game. I should have started Renaissance as suggested above, but started ancient instead. Firaxis Europe map works great for that achievement.

Yours shows up as having a mod called Loc_Ynamp_Title. I was trying to use the engineers dream one. I've tried this one so many times. I'm getting frustrated. This one and Let our powers combine and of course Vesuvius is giving me trouble.

Sorry I disabled it but for some reason it re-enabled. Are people not able to use my saves if they don't have that particular mod? It doesn't affect anything in the saves.

Oh.. about that Vesuvius attempt(s) everyone has already crushed their teeth for hours only to fail on a whimpy random luck. Fear not.. i am very near to completing a crazy Trajan mega-game which struck a wildly rational & effective random map. Here's the exact start up Save on Turn #1.. if you're up for a worthy challenge & until i return here to share my final results & admit my terrible gameplay choices which ruined most "conditions & situations" encountered.

PS; Go north -- hurry! She has the very rare Geothermal fissure along side a perfectly matched up Floodplains river (before she ruins the precious opportunity) -- to get Powers Combined rather easily.

Arrrrggghhh.. my spectacular set of tasks for the above Trajan magic map setup had just reached as far as 310/330 & the submerged "Seahenge" didn't trigger on Steam. :cringe:
Something's is quite fishy (-ahem) with the mods list i've been using since i started that looooooonnnnggg gameplay.
Here's the exact collection presently activated; (( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1669509252 ))

Any hints or solid theory on what is happening to whatever conditions i screwed up with?

Finally could settle on a semi-limited bunch of results with Trajan's Roman Vesuvius+ (five are possible) against Cleopatra (along with Cyrus and Pericles) in a rush ride gambit with terrible mistakes, bad lucks & weird coincidences.

If you follow through this small set of simple steps.. most events would occur as planned or slightly later after a few more (+/- 8) turns for Seahenge & Vesuvius itself.

As soon as you load that save.. Mega-Colossal will happen. Sadly.. only 5 kills! But this encoded volcanic cycle (caused by that scripted Natural Wonder, i think) has a knack for immediate repeat(s). If lucky you might get that big 6 within 3/4 turns. Otherwise, i've really got no control over such random gameplay event.
Secondly, decline Cyrus request for us to stop spying.
Thirdly, hold on tight.. this is where the real fun begins. See below...

1) Stonehenge *IS* submerged (Seahenge) as proven by the tooltip, but it doesn't trigger at that moment. Yet, another level rise will happen in 7 turns. Good luck!

2) Build the Tunnel (An Engineer's Dream)

3) Build the Wind-Farm (Let Our Powers Combine..)

Side tasks..
a) Swap the Civic research to prevent Diplo/Victory (Rome has 9/10).. Carbon is ONE turn away and shouldn't complete right now.
b) Go finish off Cleopatra (possibly the very best animated Leader reaction of that game, IMO) in the North.. drive the Tank into Abydos while clearing up her last Battleship with either the sub or ours just for kicks.
c) Fun fact.. at that point, go visit the Great-Works & check out what's in the Rome palace slot. Strangely, i got that one about 40/50 turns in the past. Twilight Zone candy, right there.

4) Wait for the almost imminent second Eruption while crossing-fingers it would be 6 (And The Walls Kept Tumbling Down). More ARRETIUM City growth = Better odds, IIRC.

5) A shameful attempt at that wacky (Frustrating at least!) set of minimal geometric requirements & these three Flat terrain tiles lined-up far from any coastal interaction. Panama Canal simply never wants to cooperate on its proper "angles" towards TWO cities both hooked with Canals of their own (..Ditchdigging Simulator). I tried multiple times over in various other map locations and configurations. Silly me but i left it all in that gameplay.. for posterity & glory -- here's to honesty, i have to admit.

Done!

PS; To better enjoy everything in that special file.. i recommend installing some of those Mods linked in the previous message (for.. Map Tacks as shown above, etc). Mostly QoL and visual coolness.

PS2; Time for a modding break, i've got huge concept plans with my Sco_R_ow gimmick.

PS3; Just went through the whole 330 turns (with solid Score Victory achieved). Don't bother attempting to activate Vesuvius & Seahenge over the last 19 turns.. both didn't happen & i guess they never will with that Save. Not really a waste of time though since it still can serve as pretty good lessons for "What_Not_To_Do" in a few plans.

At least.. i've learned GDR can jump & walk on ocean tiles! ;)

I settled my city right next to Vesuvius on the Firaxis Europe map. And just build a cheap Bath for fresh water. I even built the Colosseum, because it just felt right. I'm not sure if settling right next to it or 2 tiles away makes a difference. Obviously I had it on 4, but I figured right next to it would increase chance of maximum damage.

Yup.. i figure that's exactly where some secrets may stand. Nearest possible (1 single tile away).. but, i also feel it's all randomly scripted on purpose. High City size(s) might be another trick too.
Either way.. i tried both the Mega-Colossal & Submerged Stonehenge -- neither triggered. Soooooo, i'll be happily grabbing somebody else's swift Save solution. Grinding through twice for nothing is not my idea of rational gameplay. :)

That's why I moved Liang into Rome and pumped that up to size 27 with Aqua culture and Water Works.

What type of tile did you have stonehenge on? Couldn't tell from your picture. Sorry to hear it didn't work. My save is turn before so should work great for you and you can see it activate.

I also got use out of Golden Gate Bridge in that game which was fun, since the one tile connecting my island flooded permanently. Another weird thing in that game was that I was Kupe but started on land...and I settled in place. Is that a quirk of archipelago maps with him?

Was it a YnAMP map? I read elsewhere that Kupe doesn't work properly with some of those maps yet - they're working on it.

No. It was a standard archipelago map. Technically the mod was enabled for some reason even though I disabled it, but I didn't use any of his maps.

@Yzman My failed Stonehenge was built on this...

But i've since used your save to trigger it anyway.. while noticing yours was on a Level #1 coast. Might be the reason.
I also remember i had given a test run with a newly updated mod (Expanded Vision).. which possibly wrecked the map start indirectly. Hard to tell.

PS; This snapshot (exposed with the RadialMeasuringTool mod) was taken (minutes ago) on another fresh second turn from the (MULTI) file offered in a previous post above.

Secondly.. speaking of that precious GoldenGateBridge!

When i first reached Cleopatra's coast in the North & saw TWO "solidly guarding" cities in front of her Capital only to realize she had already started that GGB for herself.
Mine hasn't even started yet and i was still 5 turns away from putting COMBUSTION in research.
Needless to say -- it all became a striking crazy race to the limit where i had to chop + harvest all stone tiles away from my glorious southern behemot city where everything else was almost ready.

Fun times!

My stonehenge was actually a level 2. Which means I had to wait until like level 5 flooding or something for it to become submerged. I was sick of failing to get a good site for that, so during this game I did an islands map to get maximum coast and sent resources to be plentiful. That did it first try.

I have no idea why that location didn't trigger it for you. My only guess would be that some mod you were using may have tampered with the save, but that does seem odd.

Hi Everyone, i am trying really hard to win the war machine scenario as germany (did the french ones) and also the plague things. Any help or insights here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
