After 1919 - NES

Kal'thzar, did you get my PM?

OOC: Good work, although you seem to forget my plans for an eastwards offensive (we were supposed to advance to the Urals).
failed to get published

Considering that Parvus himself was, amongst other things, a publisher, and had many contacts, especially in the unstable Germany...

Huh?

IC:

From: Soviet Russia, Soviet Belarus
To: Finland, Poland

What is the meaning of this? We have cooperated just fine with your nations, and then you suddenly invade our republics in their time of trouble?

Ah well, now at least everybody will see the true nature of your regimes... Unless you were, ofcourse, to begin peace negotiations along the lines of return to status quo and a formal apology.

From: Soviet Russia, Soviet Belarus
To: The World

Finland and Poland have begun an unprovoked, imperialistic war. Our governments would like to issue a joint statement calling for governments and peoples of the world to condemn this and to pressure for their withdrawal, on the same lines as previous Entante withdrawal.

Also, any claims that we are waging an "unchivalrous war" are illegal by definition, if only because that the Whites are deliberately sending assassins to kill off our officers. Do we do anything like that? No.

Is the city important to you?

What city?

Oh, that one...

well, I thought that the level of urbanization is rather low in my country when you look at the map...

Meh, I really don't think its hard to publish it. Come on, they have free press there - whereas Parvus in OTL had little problems publishing and spreading a similar article in Tsarist Russia that nearly brought down the entire economy. Besides, there's always "samizdat"...

The only news of substance is that a small Greek inspired Spy network was discovered
by the Turks in Febuary. This has led to questions that may well drag boths sides to a war which neither appear
to want.

(-2 Stability Greece, -2 Turkey, you should have seen the plans.....)

To Greece
From Turkey

We are outraged by your hostile provactive action. First you refuse to hold a peaceful refrandum in Izmir now you use spies to destablise our nation! This has exposed the true nataure of Greece.
The Turkish Government demands 2 eco points in compensation for damages caused by your spies. We also demand an apology for your clealry hostile, provactive, and uncalled for action.

To Leauge of Nations
From Turkey

Now you all see what Greece is really like. They refuse to hold a peaceful refrandum in Izmir and now they use spies to destabalise Turkey. This is a hostile provactive action.
Turkey requests that the Leauge of nation imposes an embargo upon Greece until they pay compensation for the damages their spies caused and until they agree to hold a refrandum overseen by the Leauge in Izmir.
We call upon all civillized nations of the world to condemn Greek actions.

After hearing what you have done, we now refuse to cooperate with your nation.

We see that you too suffer from hostile actions by agressive proactive nations. Russia has our sympathy and support.

DEUSTCHLAND TODAY

Kapp Putsch ends after four days

The last four days have been a scene of lawlessness as nationalist and a group of Friekorps took control of the government buildings including the Reichstag and illegally installed Wolfgang Kapp as the Reichchacellor. Reichspräsident Eberet called for the dissolution of this illegal force and the return of the capital to the control of the constitutional authority he and the Reichstag represent.

Facing widespread strikes against his actions, Kapp eariler today stood down. He is now in custody and will face a series of charges including High Treason against the Reich.

Elections Called in Aftermath of Kapp's Putsch.

Worried about the German people's divided faith in the Reichstag, Reichspräsident Eberet called new general elections to try and stymie the unrest facing the nation. Already numerous parties have voiced that they will run for seats in the national assembly.

Election Results for the Reichstag

Total Seats - 875

Social Democrats - 374
Communists - 301
Nationalists - 145
Monarchists - 30
Socialists - 6
Democrats - 5
Republicans - 3
German Unity - 3
Redemption League - 2
German Workers Party - 1

As a result of these elections the Social Democrats and the Nationalists have formed an unstable coalition government. Reichspräsident Eberet swore in Reichskanzler Franz Scheidemann.

Reichskanzler Scheidemann called in his openeing address outside the Reichstag that the most important move of the Reichstag and the government will be the conclusion of a substantial agreement with the Republic of Poland over transit rights to East Prussia and the city of Danzig. Also reperation reductions to the Entente powers will be a major aim of the new government. Reichspräsident Eberet echoed his calls for a chance to let the new liberal democracy of Germany to grow and to not allow it to be torn asunder due to previous hostilities.

JOINT STATEMENTS OF THE FOREIGN COMMISSARIATES OF SOVIET RUSSIA, SOVIET BELARUS AND SOVIET UKRAINE:

ON IZMIR - We officially condemn Greek actions in Turkey. We would like to make it clear that we believe the Greek occupation of Izmir to be against the rights of self-determination of the Turkish people, rights that were supposedly upheld by the Treaty of Versailles.

ON POLAND - We are pleased to announce that the Polish invasion was caused by certain trigger-happy members of the Polish military that were now punished for their mistakes. Relations between Poland and the Soviet governments have been restored. Polish forces will, according to the Polish government, withdraw to 1919 borders. We express wishes for stabilization of relations and for productive future friendship between Polish, Belarussian, Ukrainean and Russian peoples.

Storm - your orders were to attack the enemy in the east only if they didn't attack you. they did, admittadly they didn't make much progress but you WERE attacked there.

Das you did make progress against Kolckak. The steamroller didn't happen because i'm giving gelion a single turn of grace, expect it to happen next turn. (also you could argue distances to great usw)

Remember - distances never did matter too much in RCW in OTL, all sides used cavalry and partisans. You're giving him enough grace by not having him overthrown and turned in as happened in OTL.
