OOC: Why in the hell are the Swedes allied with Turkey? They're getting into all of these wars when they have been staunchly neutral since the Napoleonic Wars? Seems a little unrealistic to me. Oh well. And now they ally with some random nation out of the blue? Sounds a lot like my brief Iraq adventure in Sheep's alt cold war NES, back when I was more n00bish than I am right now...

OOC: Yes, it may be alt hist, but you're expected to act in character. Why would a Lutheran country ally with a Muslim one against an Orthodox nation? I can understand the German alliance from a purely religious PoV, but not from a diplomatic or strategic standpoint. What do you care if one nation pays another, especially since you are siding with the nation that is more of a threat to you personally, at least geopolitically. About the Saddam thing: The US has a history of intervention in other nations' politics and internal affairs, and they are a superpower. Sweden isn't.
