A map based on the game Crimson Skies. The game is set in an alternative history where several events after World War I including an influenza epidemic and the Wall Street Crash of 1929 causes the United States to collapse and split into several countries, and the airplane and zeppelin becomes the primary form of transport.

Just keep Burma and Vietnam independent then.

The Empire State should include western Connecticut.

And there should be a New England.

Texas is just an ugly square blob in the north :(

I also think there should be a New England, and SC should join the Confederation.

The World of Blue Alert, a fantasy CnC game conceived by me.

Some decades after the events of Red Alert 3 and Uprising, Crown Prince Tatsu is released from imprisonment, and despite the Allies keeping a close eye on him, he managed to convert civilian technology into a makeshift time machine thanks to his personal talents.

But where was the Prince of the Empire of the Rising Sun headed? To 1917.

Prince Tatsu believed that the one way to ensure the Allies never triumphed was to split them up. And so he went back to the one time where the Americans and Europeans began to work together - World War I. Tatsu began to systematically erase the past one step at a time, preventing the Zimmerman telegram and the destruction of the Lusitania for example. By doing this, the Americans would not develop an interest in Europe by attacking Germany and it's allies. Furthermore, this would alter the Second World War where Stalin invaded Europe, and possibly prevent Allied formation there as well.

When the Prince returned to the present, he saw prosperity all throughout Tokyo. He was sure his plan had succeeded. ...Until he tried to enter the Imperial Palace, only to find it was now a museum. In addition, Tatsu's royal title had been abolished. Upon looking at the news and history books, Tatsu found out that Japan was dismantled in World War I and in a few succeeding conflicts where the USA and USSR worked together against Japan.

...But what was most intriguing about the World War I aspect was the fact that Germany and the United States were listed as the CENTRAL POWERS. Much like Einstein's attempt to prevent World War II by erasing Hitler only caused a different form of it, Tatsu's attempt to change the past had met with failure. Germany, instead of offering Mexico it's old American territories back in exchange for an alliance, had offerred the United States all of the British possessions in the Americas. World War I had gone on several years longer than before, with the end result being the destruction of most of the British and French Empires and the enormous growth of the Ottoman, German and American states.

The United States had morphed into a far more militarist entity, with hegemony in the Pacific, colonies in Africa and territories scattered across Latin America. The Presidential position had been enormously strengthened while the Supreme Court and Congress were weakened, and the length of a single term had increased to 5 years.

Germany, after victory, built up a powerful empire in Europe. Britain was shattered into the Gaelic Union and England, while neutral Spain was granted plenty of territory. Germany went on to annex parts of the Baltic and rule lands secured by the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk in personal union. At the height of it's glory, Germany embraced pan-Germanism, and began to annex German-speaking and Germanic ethnic groups across Europe, building an enormous Greater Germany. All of Europe besides the Turks, Spain, and the Soviet Union was a puppet to Germany, hence the formation of the European Union, an organisation supposedly meant for European matters, but really served as a central body that Germany - due to it's dominant position in culture, military power, and resources - could use to enslave the whole continent.

The USSR had never recovered from it's losses in the west, thanks to Stalin being assassinated when he began to adopt nationalist overtones that spoke of reclaiming Soviet territory. As a result, Leon Trotsky became Premier of the USSR, and while his idea of a world revolution was more radical, his central focus was on the plight of the peasantry in the Far East, and thus Trotsky's doctrine involved expansion there(he worked with the hated United States to defeat the Japanese and thus liberate Korea and Manchuria). China was soon viciously attacked too, with the Turkic and Mongolian regions targeted for assimilation into the workers' revolutionary empire.

And Tatsu had received word that the USSR, far less aggressive thanks to the precedents set by Trotsky - who was a generally humane Premier, believing that turning the USSR into a paradise was part of encouraging capitalists to embrace socialism and communism - had had it's role as the "bad boy" replaced by the United States, who were extremely tough on Europe, and had just staged a massive invasion of the Soviet segments of Japan...

In case you can't tell, I've always wanted to see a Red Alert-style game where the bad guy was the USA instead of the USSR, hence "Blue Alert." The theme tune could be called "Divine March" or something like that, and be an epic CnC style remix of some patriotic US song! Oh, the possibilities! :D

Why? Vietnam is more Sinic than any other Southeast Asian nation, including Burma.
Who cares about culture? Geopolitically, Burma would be a gold mine for the Chinese.

Hey. I've been stalking these Alt Map Threads for a while now, and I think its finally time to post. Oh yeah, thanks for all the great maps. :goodjob:

I think Tennesse, or at least Middle and West Tennesse should go to the Dixieland, or at least have Nashville as the capital of the Appalachian States. It's by far the largest city in that area. I may be biased, as a Tennessee native; just giving my two cents.

No way! As a biased Lexingtonian I demand the capital stays!

Except for college sports, Nashville is better. We have skyscrapers like super heroes and robots. :smug:

 @ the lack of a POB capital.

More Maps!!
Less talk!

New Zealand isn't a democracy in 1902? What the hell is up with that.

I think its because New Zealand receive Dominion Status in 1907

If "US troops" includes "Marine security guard detachment at US embassies" that map is extremely misleading.

7 countries since 9/11? I only see 6 of the Stans.
