Am I the only one who notices the difference?!?!?

Last week in Mesa AZ, an Indian man (of the Hindu persuation) who owned & operated a gas station/food mart was shot & killed in cold blood, by some ignorant fool. Yesterday morning on the campus of Arizona State University (in Tempe AZ), a student (Indian also) was jumped & beaten by three as yet unidentified hooligans.



In both cases, the victim(s) were targeted because of "an Arabian appearance". Which prompts me to ask...Is it really that hard to tell the difference between Hindus & Arabs?!?!?!? The world is a very small place in this day & age. It boggles my mind that someone can be ignorant enough to not be able to tell the difference, as I can see quite a large contrast between the two ethnic groups. Unless, of course said individuals have never seen either one or the other types of people.

the world's a ****ed up place. the only thing anyone can do is the best they can and try to get through each and every day. I think some people in the US are looking for scape goats, and right now they don't care who it is except that they can't be stereo typed with that group. You'd be suprised at how many close minded people live in the world we live in.

Besides press senstionalism, there were at least 20 other killings aroudn the country on that day, and over 500 assaults. The difference is that in America we prosucute criminals. Well, at least in Texas we do. We also execute killers on a regular basis! Many nations don't mind killing, as long as the "right" people are targeted!
